Peach eavesdropped and was confused by his words, but the situation right now brings a lot of misunderstanding.
"How bold of you!" she glared at him, feeling irritated.
"I'm looking for Hidelga," he asked, insisting.
"How could you even bring that woman to where she is?!" she said.
"Bring us to my wife," he commanded.
"What?" Peach was dumbfounded and left her with no other choice but to bring them to Hidelga.
Seeing her perform on the stage is outstanding. Spotting them in the audience, she went to the backstage after the scene to see them after the practice.
"Leon? Peach? And?... Who are you?" She smiled, greeting Ricka.
Seeing all their serious expressions, she can't do anything but ask, "Uhm, did something happen?"
"I'm Ricka... and I'm in love with your husband," she said bluntly.
"Oh, I see..." Hidelga muttered and then was speechless.
'Why does it feel a little awkward?' she thought.
Taking a glance at Leon. Leon was staring straight at her when she was about to speak
"Well, that's g-" But before she finished her sentence, Leon took her away.
And when they are finally alone, she continues talking.
"Well, that's great," she finished her sentence. Leon, knowing what she's about to say, automatically drags her away.
"You are too careless," Leon said, insisting that they were still pretending in front of Peach.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm too occupied by the play," Hidelga uttered as she remembered. "But I'm really glad that there is someone who can go and take care of you if you go back," she said.
"Anyway, you don't need to give me anything in return," she said. "You are free to go wherever you want to go," her assurance stung.
Leon, with an annoyed expression—an expression that he never showed or did in front of anyone—had not refrained from holding a single statement in. "Then I give you what you want," he said.
And left.
He returned and told Ricka, "Now that you already met her, you may now leave," Leon said heartlessly. However, it was obvious that she didn't want to leave him, even though she saw Hidelga, who is said to be his wife.
Hidelga felt guilt, so after the practice, she decided to apologize to Leon.
Leon was not there when she got there and she practiced a little as she waited for him to go home up until hours had passed and she woke up in the middle of the night, realizing that
'He already left.'
"Can you act much worse than that?" he commented to her distracted face.
Leon was seated in the dining area, watching her all this time until she fell asleep while waiting for him. "Have you been there all this while?" she asked.
"Are you perhaps waiting for me?" he asked.
"Why? Isn't it obvious?" she answered.
"What are you upset? Is it because I was here all this time but not speaking and you haven't noticed that I am watching you? Or are you upset because you've waited... expecting me to return? Because you thought that I already left without you knowing it?" His speaking slowed down as it went to the end of the statement.
She was silent.
"At least notify me, so I won't be waiting. I wanted to apologize earlier," she said, with a devastated expression.
Her attitude and reactions speak of something else; however, her stubborn heart was holding everything back.
"Are you really a theatrical actress? Why are you acting worse than before?" he asked as he stood up and approached her. He changed the topic so they wouldn't end up fighting again.
He got the script and said. "Start," he said.
After one scene, Leon began to speak, giving his feedback. He put the skit down on the table near her and pointed to a certain part. "You should put tone emphasis here," he said.
"And put all your emotions here," he continued. "Be the character itself," he added.
"Again," and they continue.
Hidelga repeated the line again and again and again until Leon took the one copy from her and began to do it.
Hidelga was shocked that Leon could act well. Obviously, perfect for the palace and politics.
"But you took me from my mother dearest, selfishly! I wonder, is it love or maybe?
A fleeting lust or any infatuation that will disappear once the year passes by and your interest flies."
"And Would you rather come with me? To my deep pits and graveyards, to those sleeping souls and endless nights? Will you accept when I lend my hand and ask for yours?
until the very end? Cause love gives me no choice."
They reached the kissing scene in the play.
The situation turns awkward.
"Have you kissed the Hades actor?" he asked.
"N-no! Not yet," she said, feeling irritated for some unknown reason.
She might find it vague but it is all clear in front of Leon's eyes—the real thing that she hasn't realized yet.
Leon watched until that scene earlier and it is merely cut in that specific part. She will be evaluated because it's going to be an actual kissing scene while the audience is watching. It will serve as the basis for her to be a good actress.
The case is this: she is not even embarrassed in front of her real scene partner but only in front of Leon.
"I am about to leave," Leon stated.
"Oh, I see. So you already made up your mind," she calmly said as she put down her things on the table.
"Is it tomorrow?" she asked while looking down, thinking.
"I want to apologize before you leave," she said but Leon knowing the real deal answered.
"You don't have to apologize now," he said.
Hidelga was puzzled. He placed his hand on her head. "Are you not going to say what you want to say?" he said because he noticed that Hidelga seemed to be holding back something from him.
"At least watch the play before you leave," she suggested eagerly.
He chuckled. "No," he said, firm and unwavering.
And his hands went from her head to her eyes and then he leaned forward for a kiss.
Hidelga was surprised but he pulled her closer so much that her body froze.
'Wait, I was married before?' She thought, 'but why? what's wrong with me? ,' she asked herself.
She was dumbfounded, thinking, 'Why do I freeze like I have never been kissed?'.
"I'll clear your way. I'll do everything I can to change your mind so you will be willing to come to me with open arms," he said.
And he kissed her again.
"Tell me who is the best kisser," he said as he turned away to leave.
Hidelga was shocked and confused. "What?"
