POV: Jace.
If I say church service was boring it'd be an understatement.
To me it was all standing and sitting and saying a bunch words then singing. I wonder if they could spice things up a bit. Maybe sing some Nicki Minaj or Billie Eilish, it'd be very fun, infact people would want to-
OW.
I was hit on the side of head with the cap of a pen. "Pssssst~." I turned to the side scowling at the culprit.
Kaiden sat beside me grinning like the idiot he is. Feeling the urge for revenge I pinched his arm as hard as I could making sure it left a bruise.
But the jerk just brushed it off. He leaned closer to my ear. "Wanna ditch?" He asked.
I looked at him like he was crazy. "We can't ditch church! That's disrespectful! I knew I shouldn't have invited you." He rolled his eyes then he stood up and headed to the exit.
I looked at my grandpa beside me, then looked back to Kaiden who was still walking towards the exit, then I sighed.
"Umm.... I have to go home and do a number 2, so don't expect me to come back." He glanced at me then motioned for me to go.
I stood up and quickly headed for the exit. I got out and saw Kaiden leaning on his car.
"Excuse." He said. "I had to do a number 2." I mumbled. He burst into laughter as he clutched his stomach.
I blushed madly for having to tell him about my lame excuse, I could've come up with another but no I just had to go with the number 2. Typical.
"Ahh... You're an idiot." He said with a chuckle. "C'mon were going to a cafe downtown to meet my new friend."
"New friend?" I asked and he nodded with a goofy smile on his face.
I didn't know Kaiden had the will power to make more friends than he already had, because we were all chaotic, adding a new person to our friend group would make it crowded and more chaotic.
We arrived at the little cafe that was down town. It looked rundown, like people hadn't been to the place in months.
We entered the building and I was stunned. The inside was nothing like the outside, it smelled like home and chocolate.
The cafe was clean and it had a medieval theme and nice looking paintings.
"This place is.... Wow." I breathed out suddenly out of breath by the scenery.
"That's why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Now c'mon she's waiting for us." Kaiden grabbed my hand and maneuvered us to a booth.
Both of us sat down opposite a girl with Auburn coloured hair with hazel eyes, a little button nose and pale skin.
She's beautiful.
She smiled brightly at us, showing us her pearly with teeth. We smiled back but mine was a little awkward because I didn't have good social skills.
I blame mother.
"You're even more prettier with more lights." Kaiden blurted out.
My head snapped towards him and my mouth hung open at how casually he said that.
If I were the one who blurted that out I would die of embarrassment.
"T-Thank you." She said while blushing.
"Soooo.... Jana, Jace. Jace, Jana." Kaiden introduced us.
Jana.
Ja-na.
Ja.
Na.
J.
A.
N.
A.
That's a pretty badass name.
"Hi." I muttered. "Hey." She replied.
Awkward.
"Well this is awkward." Kaiden voiced my thoughts and I shot him a glare. "I'm just gonna go straight to the point. Jana likes BTS." The moment the statement came out of kaiden's mouth all nervousness flew out the window.
"OMG! You like BTS? Whose your bias? What's your favorite album? What's your favorite song? What's your favorite hair color?-" I said all in one breath.
"Woah slow down there buddy. We don't want you scaring-" Kaiden was interrupted by Jana answering my questions.
"My bias is J-hope. Favorite album is Love yourself. Favorite song is Airplane pt2. Favorite hair color is mint green." She rushed out.
"No way! You love J-hope? I'm an ot7." I said."Being an ot7 is hard dude." She replied.
"I know right. It took me a lot of thinking before I became an ot7. My bias before I became an ot7 was Suga." I said.
"Sorry for interrupting this ARMY fest but I'd like to be part of a conversation that I know about." Kaiden interrupted.
He seemed to be doing a lot of interrupting today.
I finally have someone who likes what I liked. It's very hard to find people who listen to k-pop nowadays, because they are either making their own music or they're not really into music.
"Ok let's talk about how you guys met." Kaiden's face brightened as I suggested that.
"Well we met at a club yesterday." He said.
"A club?" I questioned while raising an eyebrow. Kaiden looked at me with panic.
"We didn't do anything. We only had a few drinks and talked, then she mentioned that she liked BTS and I was like we should be friends and I'm sure Jace would love to be your friend." He said all in one breath.
I couldn't believe Kaiden would find a friend specially for me. Well not only me but still, it was so heart warming.
I felt a strange feeling from the bottom of stomach. My stomach churned with a feeling I couldn't decipher, it wasn't pain, it was like butterflies were flying wild in my tummy.
I pushed down the feeling not wanting to bother the others.
"Why hasn't the waiter come to take our-"
"Welcome to Nanny J's cafe what can I get you guys on this fine Sunday." The male waiter smiled at us. His one dimple showing on his left cheek.
I looked at Jana and she was also looking at me. Like as if it was planned we both squealed at the same time.
The waiter looked very confused about our out burst but brushed it off as Kaiden started ordering.
After I and Jana ordered still having creepy smiles on our faces, the waiter left but not before giving us a horrified glance.
"What was that?" Kaiden asked, confusion very evident in his tone.
I shrugged and Jana smirked. "Nothing."
"Looks like you guys are really getting along." Kaiden smiled, very proud of himself.
At this point I knew this was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
