BRIA
I waited, patiently for Cameron to continue. I didn't want him to change his mind because of my idiocy. I was glad that I followed my instincts.
In the morning, I was teasing him in the beginning, but then I realised that something was bothering him. When I asked if he was ok, I meant it. And his reaction gave me the answer. Asking him to take me out was a risk. But when he compelled my request, I thought he needed it more than me. I genuinely made efforts to keep my sarcasm in check to not annoy him further.
"Rose."
I looked at him, directing my attention towards him.
"Rose is the reason for my pain."
He stopped talking, succumbed in memories.
"Your girlfriend?" I asked hesitatingly.
A small smile crept on his lips as he shook his head a little.
"No. Rose... she was my... sister. Younger sister." I made an O with my lips in understanding.
