"We both can fit if we um, adjust a little."
She scooted a little making a little more space. After two minutes of awkward oops and sorry, all from her, we finally fit in the compact space. She sat between my legs, resting her back on my chest.
My body relaxed after hours. Though we were not in a very comfortable position, it was better than nothing. I covered us with more branches which also worked as a shield from wind, keeping a little space open to see the night sky and the surroundings.
My body was tensed as much as hers, but we stayed quiet to regain some energy for the morning.
"Penny for your thought?" She asked softly. That made me forget her wild and crazy side for a moment. It was a rare occasion where she used her gentle tone.
Silence
"I know you are thinking about the attack."
Silence
"Do you still think that I am behind this too?"
