Third Person's POV
"Do you want more water, Mommy?"
Sam shook her head and said weakly with a raspy voice. "You should go to bed, Aj. It's late."
"Don't worry about me, Mommy! Wait here, okay? I'll cook you something!" Aj kissed his mother's cheek and ran downstairs before Sam could even stop him. He frowned when he recalled how his mother's skin felt like burning under his kiss earlier. The boy stopped by the phone and tried calling his father again, but it went straight to voicemail like usual. It had been two days since his father left, and the morning after, his mother fell sick and could barely leave the bed since this evening. Leaving his little sister under the care of his uncle.
"Let me,"
"I can do it myself," Aj huffed and turned away.
"Do you even know how to turn on the stove?"
"I don't need your help! Because of you, Daddy left! Because of you, Mommy's sick!"
