A͟n͟t͟a͟r͟e͟s͟

I opened the door to our classroom and I was greeted by the loud chatters and laughter of my classmates.

'Aren't they bothered that its our final test today? Tsk not my fault if they end up being kicked out in the school'

I closed the door and quietly walk to my seat.

I wouldn't want to gain their useless attentions.

I read my science book while waiting for our adviser.

In just a couple of minutes I heard the door opened and my classmate all scrambled to their seats,

I closed my book and put it in my bag.

"Good morning students, I hope that you all studied cause you know what will happen to you if your grades aren't high," our adviser starts to hand us our test paper.

"Remember no cheating cause once you are caught you'll be exempted for 3 whole weeks, Ok?" Once our test papers are handed we started answering.

"By the way you guys only have 1 hour to finish it, good luck." I heard our adviser sat in her chair and watched us.

' now the only thing I need is to wait for the show to start'

Our class adviser stands up and she headed to the water dispenser and drank some water,

"Miss Jana! Avi is cheating!!" As expected,

Our adviser look at Avi and Jasmine.

Avi stands up and look at Miss Jana.

"I wasn't cheating Miss Jana I swear." If you heard it closely you can hear her voice quavering, her body is trembling, she deliberately look at at Miss Jana's eye and her eyes look from the left side.

Well she's lying, It's obvious.

Her voice is quavering and her body is Trembling dew too nervousness,

she only deliberately look at Miss Jana's eye which meant she's trying to make her lie sincere,

She look at her left which meant she's Constructing another lie.

'If I was her I wouldn't have shown any signs that I'm lying.'

"No! I saw you cheat don't you dare lie!!" Jasmine pointed at her accusingly and looking at Avi in Anger.

"I already told you I didn't cheat." Her voice pitch is way higher and she's talking slowly this time, another indication that she's lying.

"Miss Jamine and Miss Avi stop!!" They both stopped and looked down

"Now, Miss Avi I want you to answer me honestly. Did you cheat?" Miss Jana look at Avi intently with a serious yet calm face.

Avi looked away and then looked at Miss Jana, she's trying to hide the guilt in her eyes and I'm sure she's struggling.

"I didn't Miss Jana, I didn't..." Avi gulped trying to ease the lump in her throat, maybe

"Cheat." Avi continued.

Jasmine look up furiously,

"You didn't!! Then what's that paper I saw you reading!!" I guess that's my cue.

"It's a letter." Avi answered well of course if you said it was nothing it will only raise their suspicions even more,

I walk towards Avi and stand besides her.

"Avi didn't cheat Miss Jana, I'll assure you that cause the paper she was reading was a letter from me." My classmate who was silent the whole time started to murmur.

"Silence, Miss Avi you know cheating is wrong and you Miss Jasmine, I want you to also know that accusing someone is wrong and its punishable!" Miss Jana look at me dead in the eye.

"Well then if Miss Antares is saying the truth, you wouldn't mind showing us the letter, Right Miss Avi?" Avi took the paper in her pocket and gave it to Miss Jana who is currently mad right now.

I look at Jasmine and she was smiling triumphantly, like she knows she's already won.

Well she's wrong.

Miss Jana opened the letter and read the contents.

"'Hey Avi, thank you for answering my questions even though you're busy reviewing your notes for the final test tomorrow and if you have the time will you join me eat lunch? My treat… I just want to repay your kindness.' and how can this letter be a cheat paper Miss Jasmine??" Miss Jana look at Jasmine sharply.

"B-but I--"

"Miss Jasmine I want you to leave, I do not tolerate this kind of behavior, I know you and Miss Avi are enemies but if you'd taken it all to personally. I want you to get out of my class and never come back!! If only you acted a little bit professional." Jasmine took her bag and walk away Classroom.

"Poor thing...ohw well never mind she's just one of my dischargeable pawns." I thought to myself.

"Continue answering your test papers now." My classmates started to answer their test papers again, I started to walk when Avi grab my elbow gently.

I look at her,

"Thank you---" I cut her off,

"Let's talk at the cafeteria." She let me go and nob.

I walk towards my seat and started answering my test papers.

After an hour or 3 we finished our morning test.

The test was brain wrecking but I guess I'm fine.

I put all my things in my bag when someone tapped my shoulder and when I looked at the person it was Avi.

"Let's go?" She smiled at me and I just answered her with a nob.

Our classmates where looking at us curiously,

Can't blame them though cause it's my first time hanging out with someone and it's someone who is well known in the entire campus.

As we walk people would wave and ask how is Avi, well can't blame her she's famous after all.

We arrived at the cafeteria and I saw tons of people, some are in a group or while some are alone, This is one of the reason why I'd rather brought my own lunch.

The whole place is field with noises.

"I'll get the food while you look for our seats, by the way what would you want to eat?" I look at Avi.

"Beef Steak and a dark chocolate drink, here's the money." I handed her the money but she didn't take it, I look at her with furrowed eyebrows.

"I'll pay, I insist." I put my money back on my pocket and nob.

We parted ways,

I looked for seats and I found one at the back.

"Perfect."

I took a sit and I put my bag on one of the seats.

In just a couple of minutes I saw Avi coming in my direction with trays of food.

She put the trays in our table and sat down.

I took my food out of the tray and pit it in the side of our table.

I was about to eat my food when she started talking.

"Antares thank you so much if it wasn't you I would have been a goner... The Truth about me cheating is because I was to pressured and I hope you understand and I'm deeply sorry cause I made you carry a burden." I look at her and she was looking down.

I already know that her parents are pressuring her cause if I didn't my plan wouldn't have work.

"I understand your situation and it's ok." I faked a smile.

She looked at me and her eyes gleaming in happiness and she stand up,

"Is there anyway that I can help you?? I'll do anything." She took both of my hands and held it.

"I don't really want to bother you but I do have something." I looked down acting shy.

"Ohw come on just say it." I looked up and what I said shocked her.
