"Here take this and buy whatever you think we may need", said Doza handing Kenos 100 Marx (currency). "And try not to be a fucking idiot. We meet at the town gate in two hours."
Kenos, who had already walked away captivated by the bustling city, shouts back from a distance "I got it".
Doza shakes his head, "That kid's gonna be the death of me."
Kenos chuckled, as he walked through the main street bazaar. "I wonder what I should buy", he thought, looking at the wide variety of items from jewelry to weapons made out of all types of materials. Kenos walked down the whole strip with his jaw dropped. Noticing a food vendor Kenos walks up drooling. "Old man can I get two of those Beef skewers." Kenos hands him Marx and takes a bite.
"Woahhhhhhh, so good", said Kenos devouring them. Kenos continues to comb through the town seeing what it had to offer.
(Doza pov)
Doza watches as Kenos disappears in the crowd and pulls out his list. "Need a sharpening stone, an updated map, we should grab a couple of bags of food too, and will need gear as well. Mine is warned out to shreds and Kens growing faster each day."
Doza walks to one of the Bazaar stands. "Yo, old man what kind of materials you got." The merchant motions his hands around his merchandise. "This is some high-quality stuff too", boasted the merchant, "fresh from the Void Mines." "All this shit is junk", thought Doza. "You know what old guy I don't need any of these items", Said Doza as he walked away. "Hmph, Well that was a waste", he thought. "I better find a quality blacksmith in this bogus ass town at least."
(Kenos pov)
"Maybe I should get a weapon", Kenos pondered as he continued walking through the town. "That way I could really help Doza. If I had the time to grab my bow before we left the estate. I would've spent all my Marx on those beef skewers", said Kenos drooling. "FUCKKKKKKK."
* fhap*
"Stoppp, please,'' Kenos heard from a distance.
"Ha Ha, you're such a punk, boys hold him up."
Kenos creeps into the ally and watches as three kids pick on one child.
"Aren't you ashamed of being this pathetic I mean you are the blacksmith's son", said the leader amongst the three?
Mushing the person being held up face in.
(Doza pov)
Doza walked through a number of stores to disappointing results. Either crap quality or and unreasonable trade conditions. "Damn is anyone gonna give me a fuckin deal", said Doza loudly. "I'll check this blacksmith out, his shop is bigger than the rest of the stores in town."
"Mr. Takamichi you have visitors", said the assistant at the front of the shop. "I'm busy Omar take care of it", replied The blacksmith, Yadren Takamichi. "But sir it's those Ratari Gang thugs again", Omar continued. "I thought I already told their leader I won't do any business with them", said Mr. Takamichi, coming into the room.
The four members of the Ratari gang all stood in different areas of the store, having already forced the other customers to leave. "Cassan won't take that as an answer", replied one of the gang members. "He's explained again and again why he requires your legendary craftsmanship. Don't make us resort to other methods to persuade you." three of the four men begin ransacking the store knocking displays and materials down.
*Door opens*
"Yooo, where the quality gear at", shouted Doza. The room quiet and still, everyone staring at Doza who stood in front of the entrance.
"Did I walk into the middle of something private? You know what, I'll leave", said Doza walking back out.
Before fully getting out the door Doza senses a shift in movement, quickly turning around and stopping a sneak attack from one of the gang members.
"Now what type of punk-ass shit is that", said Doza releasing a wave of lightning sizzling the first thug, Doza watches as the body drops to the floor.
Mr. Takamichi looks up with a smirk, "aye boy you handle these wanna-be thugs and I'll get you to gear for the lowest I can do it."
Doza smirks with a wild grin allowing his body to electrify rubbing his hands together, "Say no more pops I can break a few bones."
(Kenos pov)
"It's a shame, someone, as legendary as your father birthed a wimp like you", said the leader amongst the bullies preparing to strike a punch. "Then again that senile old man put the whole town in danger, by not accepting the deal with the Ratari. So maybe fucking up just runs in your family.''
Kenos overhears the words of the bully and is appalled by the action, pouncing at the attacker. He grabs his wrist and looks the main aggressor in his eyes taunting them. "You sissies can't fight a proper 1 on 1, that's a shame", He laughs sweep kicking the bully.
Landing flat on his face the bully gets up, "Forget that punk", he yelled getting off the ground face red with anger. "Let's give the new kid a lesson." The two other bullies drop the kid and start walking towards Kenos. Running up to the first guy Kenos connects with a strong jab, "I guess meditation did do something, he thought knocking the bully back.
The now free victim stares at Kenos in amazement. "Who is this guy?"
Kenos shakes his fist and looks at the next bully. Readying his form, the two bullies remaining stared at him astonished at what they just witnessed, "come at me together so we can end this quickly" Kenos easily avoids their advances, carefully striking openings as they pass. The third then wakes up and grabs Kenos from behind.
"Good job one of the bullies yelled", running up to the bounded Kenos with his pocket knife drawn. Kenos kicks his left leg upward smacking the attacker under his chin. The bully gracefully falls backward passing out from the kick.
Kenos quickly put all his momentum forward throwing his capturer over his shoulder screaming "Get the hell off me!" the bully falls forward in the air looking towards the sky. Kenos moves his right leg in a roundhouse motion dropping his foot directly on the opponent's chest leaving cracks underneath the bully's unconscious body.
Looking at the lead bully Kenos readies his stance once more. The bully trying to hold his composure begins to cry, "this won't be the last of us", he yells trying to help his colleagues get up and run. "I hate bullies", Kenos pouts walking to help up the victim who he just rescued.
"Thank you so much!!! I'm Basaul Takamichi", said the boy with tears in his eyes. A husky built child who could be no older than Kenos.
"Nice to meet you Basaul, I'm Kenos", he replied. Kenoses' stomach growled, "if you wanna thank me buy me some more meat skewers", he laughs. The two dust off and walk over to the vendor.
(Doza pov)
"Aye kid, if you can take care of these wannabe thugs, I'll give you gear for as low as I can do it", said Mr.Takamichi
"Say no more pops", replied Doza taking in the situation. "Flowing lightning: second form rush (Nagareru Inazuma)," Yelled Doza inside the Blacksmiths shop. Dashing from place to place in a surge of lightning. Appearing in front of one of the gang members knocking him out instantly with a right hook. The second thug comes charging in. Doza raises his left leg swiftly deceiving the thug with a feint kick.
*fhap*
Doza's Jab connects with his opponent's face, finishing with a spin kick. Gathering his balance Doza stumbles his way to the next. "It's no bad blood", he yells with a smile on his face jumping toward the last Ratari gang member, "I just can't pass up a good deal. Static discharge", shouted Doza as a shroud of electricity covered his hand. The last gang member stands in fright at the incoming Doza. Doza cocks his arm back and prepares the strike, landing a direct hit on his chest.
"arghhhh"
The thug yells sizzling on the floor. Mr. Takamichi and his assistant look up from behind the desk. "You've got some skill boy."
(Kenos pov)
Kenos stuffs his face with the free meat skewers at the booth. After eating a decent amount of skewers Kenos looks up. "Why were those guys beating you up?"' he asked. "You some kind of a wuss."
"Well, I wouldn't call myself that", Basaul responded. "My dad is regarded as a legendary blacksmith, he's the reason this town gets as much attention as it does. He's a very strong man, so strong he chooses not to resort to violence no matter the situation. He's always taught me to find a peaceful way to solve my problems."
"It looks like he's training you to be a punching bag", laughed Kenos. Kenoses' laughter ends as the two notice a group of people causing problems on the main street. "Who are they", asked Kenos. "There the Ratari", Basaul responded. "A gang of thugs who think they own this town. A couple of months ago they showed up and demanded my dad make them weapons. My father, noticing their true intentions, kindly declined, saying he didn't want his weapons to be misused, They didn't take kindly to that answer. Every so often they come and make threats to my father and the other merchants in town. They even go as far as to wreck shops and terrorize the people."
