Garlhorn Ygnevia Goch, was once a great high-ranking adventurer in the kingdom of Hubert, he was very proficient in both armed-combat and unarmed-combat to the point of almost defeating every Royal Guard except the general when he often practise with them.

He was recognized by the King of Hubert and seldom visits the palace to have tea with the King and play with the little prince and princesses. The Kingdom of Hubert has 1 prince and 3 princesses, the prince is 6 years old, the eldest of the 3 princesses is also 6 years old and the younger princesses are both 4 years old. They lost their mother after giving birth to the last princess so they coveted attention from their father but due to his busy schedule he can't spend most of his time with them leading them to be attached to Garlhorn since everytime he came here he would play with them.

One day he received news that the King is sick and has been bed-ridden since the last time they had tea and is a subject of suspicion of the King's attempted assassination, he is requested to attend to court as to give him a chance to clear all accusations placed on him. He is to arrive at the court in a week and present himself in front of the jury.

He was a bit suspicious as to why the King suddenly got sick so he sent his assassin teammate to gather information. After a while of reconnaissance he found out that one of the high-ranking nobles is planning coup-d'etat tonight and got angered by them, he instructed his team to prepare to intercept the soldiers of those nobles while he visit the King.

On his way to the castle he spotted many knights walking around patrolling the area and was about to approach them but then decided against it as it might incite panic on the knights and guards. He silently passed by them and ran towards the entrance of the castle where a bridge and two Royal Guards are present and stop to think of a way to enter the castle without alerting anybody. He suddenly had a brilliant idea and proceeded to execute it, he got under the bridge and dug his fingers in the concrete then proceeded to move forward like that until he arrive at the wall of the piece of land where the castle rest and dug his finger and feet on it as well then moved sideways to go around the whole land.

When he reached the side of the land he began climbing up and eventually entered the castle, he head towards the King's bedroom and enter it to see the King lying on his bed looking extremely pale. He walked to the side of the bed and kneeled on one knee for his head to reach just above the bed's height and held the King's hand, the King most likely felt his presence and opened his eyes to see his subject and friend holding his hand.

Garlhorn noticed the King waking up and said "Are you alright, ****?"

The King looked at his friend for a long time after which he opened his mouth "I once dreamed of a peaceful country under my rule where wars can be avoided, crime can be prevented, and the people living happily in it. It seems that fate can be playful sometimes and decided to point at me this time. Garlhorn, please listen to my request. Take care of my children for me." he said the last part with tears in his eyes "I don't want them to suffer under the hands of those nobles and get manipulated by them. I want them to be just like their mother, kind, carefree, playful, and cheerful. I hope you can grant me my request." in the end he couldn't help but cry. He cried for a long time until it died down but in the end his heart stopped beating and his eyes closed.

Garlhorn was also crying but he just listened to his friends dying words and introverted it to heart. "Don't worry ****, I'll fulfill your dream for you and don't worry about those kids, I'll take care of them." he said as he stand up wiping his tears away then walked away to find the prince and princesses.

Soon after he found the prince's room and woke him up, he explained what happened while not mentioning what happened to his father, the prince instantly understood and followed Garlhorn to wake up his sisters. He did the same to the princesses and they also nodded their heads and followed along too.

He brought the children out of the castle while constantly knocking out guards and knights that tried to stop him and sheltered them somewhere safe. After making sure that the kids are safe inside he head towards where his teammates are and joined them.

It took a long time before they can subdue all of the knights and mercenaries. He looked at his tired team and felt gratitude to them as they did their best until the end without complaining. He waited for them to regain some stamina and explained what happened to the King and what he planned to do with it.

"I'm thinking of usurping to the throne."

When they heard that they got dumbfounded but instantly regained their calm because they knew that nothing could change his mind once he decided on something also they felt it was right as he was the closest to the King and knew how to manage people.

A lot happened after that including finding the kids and making sure they are okay and then telling them about what happened to their father and his plans in which they supported him since they trust him the most and after that he announced his usurpation to the whole kingdom which cause a riot among nobles and civilians.

The uproar it caused was greatly impactful as it took a whole month for it to calm down. After his usurpation he instructed the Royal Guards, Knights and Soldiers to gather to the training field so he can train them himself to prepare the second phase of his plans.

After months and months of training he was satisfied as they reached the level of strength he was aiming for them to achieve and immediately told them why he trained them to such an extent. "We will be invading neighboring enemy countries and taking their land to expand our territory, don't worry I've trained you all enough so that we can achieve victory over our enemies, I want you all to trust me and fight with me." after he finished saying that the soldiers was surprised but immediately shouted war cries filling the whole castle.

They went to war after war and achieved victory everytime which expanded their territory more. He managed the kingdom until it became an empire feared by many other kingdoms earning him the titles, 'The First Emperor', 'The Greatest Emperor' and 'Battle God'.

Only after he felt that it was peaceful enough did he relingquish the throne to it's rightful ruler, the kids were surprised seeing their uncle's hard work being passed to them and declined immediate but Garlhorn kept on insisting saying that it was part of their father's wish that he fulfilled for him to give to them. After saying that they reluctantly agreed and choose their eldest brother to take the throne.

After all of what happened he bid farewell to the kids as he decided to travel the world with his remaining life.
