It was night again, and Alex had grabbed the couch. Percy closed the room door lightly and went and sat on the bed next to Tiara who was lying down, staring at the ceiling.
"Aren't you going to turn off the lights?" she asked, looking at the clock on the wall. It was close to midnight. Alex had brought in some non-alcoholic champagne and they had stayed up a little later than usual for Tiara's impersonation of acting drunk.
"We need to work harder," Percy told her, refusing to meet her eyes.
Without hesitating, she agreed with him. "We do. Really hard. Or we can never beat the Obsidian Lord in time. Hopefully it will become easier after we get that teacher."
"You remember what we need to do, right?"
She nodded. "Go into the Tengoku cluster again, and kill maximum dramons possible. They are just in-game creatures after all. You told me earlier today, remember?"
"Yeah, and Tiara?"
"Mhmm?"
