"How could you not know about the human your husband is with?" I was shocked frankly.
"I wanted to, but my husband made it quite clear he was not a nice human. See, my husband was in an accident when he was young and he met a human. The human helped him and now he says he owes this human his life. They also made a pact then that he would stay with him for 3 months and then 1 month back home. He was still young then so it was really for his family. See he's like my baby girl, he was born from two Dragons. Now it's for me that he comes back."
I nodded seriously.
"So what does that mean? Is your husband a transmigrated person?" I asked.
"No, see when two transmigrated individuals make a baby here. It has its own life. Same with me and my husband. Any baby born from a Celestial Beast has its own life."
"Only Celestial?" I questioned.
"Mhm, only Celestial Beast have the privileged having a family."
I nodded once more. I was learning so much right now.
"Very interesting indeed. Alright, well let's see. What's your husband's name?" I asked.
"His name is Rain. His parents were Indians."
"Cool, cool. My Dad thought I would be a boy. But I turned out to be a girl. They just kept the name."
At this, she burst out laughing. I just stared. Was what I said funny?
"This, you are a very special human. I very much like you." She smiled a very beautiful smile.
I just moved in embarrassment.
"Let's get moving!" I said and stood.
"Mmm, yes let's." She stood with little Tatiana.
"Expect, do you have a Chinese name?" I questioned.
"No." She shook her head.
"Ah, you'll be my mom then. Your name shall be...Chen LengYa. Your child already has one, Chen SuSan, and mine is Chen FuSin."
She nodded.
"Sounds great."
I then looked her up and down.
"You are very eye-catching. Here put on this."
I reached in my bag and pulled out a black veil. It was really for night work when I could run in secret but I handed it to her to use.
I held little Tatiana while she put on the veil.
We then made our way back to the village.
After a couple of days, we arrived and started making our rounds. I walked with her and acted as her child. Men stared at her but knew she was taken because of me and her baby.
The veil worked but her eyes were still beautiful.
After the first day back we did learn something though. There was talk about a profound doctor who was in serious trouble in the Capital. He was known for his special medications but apparently one of his medications killed a favorite son of the Emperor and now he faced death. He would have already died but his Beast appeared and saved him. Now the profound doctor is on the run.
We were quite sure this was our guy.
Because of this, the next day we headed out. I still had my horse so I just bought another with another silver.
We then got on our two horses and made our way to the Capital. We would know more when we got there.
At night I cultivated and in the morning we rode. It went like this for 3 weeks until we reached the Capital of this Empire. The Empire we were in was called 'Long Empire.' We found this out back in the village also.
In any case, we were here. The guards let us in and we set our horses in a stall. I paid them 5 silver for 5 days for both. The Capital was definitely more expensive but this was expected of a Capital of an Empire.
We then made our way around to get used to our surroundings. My hair was also longer now so I was able to tie it up and I really looked like any normal boy. Though I didn't like it at all. It was just at the moment just the most practical.
But back to the moments at hand. The Captain was very lively. We then saw a storyteller. Great! These guys get paid to know the information. I walked up to him and dropped in 3 silver.
His eyes grew wide as he looked at me.
"Tell me all the information about the profound doctor that you know and his beast. I am a very curious person."
He didn't ask any questions and just started talking as he picked up the coins.
"The profound doctor who was looked at with awe by all was struck down when one of his medications tragically killed a loved son of the Emperor. He was close to death but a large black Dragon swept in and snatched up the profound doctor. He was searched for but to no use. The Dragon was quick and fast.
Though this is not all. It is said people saw them go north. This is where the Capital is searching."
I nodded.
Clever Dragon.
We then walked away.
"Let's go north." She said.
"Na," I said.
"Why not?" She was shocked.
"They never left," I said as I kept walking.
"How could you possibly know this?" She asked.
"Because if they left months ago, then your husband would have just went to you to tell you what was what when his Master was safe but he didn't. One reason," I stuck up my index finger on my right hand as I looked up at her. "His Master isn't safe. So they are still here. My best guess, the guy was poisoned."
"Wow, you're smart." She said shocked.
I shrugged.
"Thanks..." I said and just turned to walk forward. It was now time to find the missing husband! "Let's find an inn for the night and then start the journey of trying to find him."
