Folding his hands, he simply looked at her waiting for her to say something. Even she looked at him defiantly that made him chuckle.
"You are funny, Zara. Now, go home."
"Why? Are you done with me? I am not"
She inched close to him and moved her finger over his cheek suggestively. His eyes went wide as saucers. Something was definitely wrong here.
"Are you drunk?"
She didn't answer but began to lean on him. And that's when he realized what was off. He saw a trace of grey swirling around her shoulder, almost like a mist. Had he been totally distracted, he would have missed it. But, he did see the cloud like thing hovering on her shoulder.
It was similar to what he had seen back on the night of the prom. If his recollection was right the cloud had been hovering in the exact same way over Jake's shoulder.
