Rose smiled at the grown-up lines her daughter spoke. She looked at her daughter with pride and hope.
"But, I will try something. I had put some money away for your higher education. I hadn't wanted to touch it because the tuition fees are quite high. I can't choose between your education and this home…"
Zara squeezed her mother's hands, "Mom, you have done enough. It is my fault that I was so attached to dad, that I wouldn't want to move anywhere else. I never thought about you, of how lonely you might have grown over these years…."
Rose sucked a breath, "Z…"
"No mom, I have been selfish. All these years, I never checked if you needed someone in your life, not really. I was too obsessed with dad and maybe that made you take a step back. But, not anymore. I want you to be more open towards others. Find me a new dad."
Rose's mother nearly shouted with a shocked expression, "Zara!!!!"
