The following day, Jake arrived at Zara's doorstep and was greeted by a smiling Rose. "Jake, I can't thank you enough for being there with Zara. I don't think I would have made it with all of my extra work going on."
Jake smiled as he walked inside, "You don't need to thank me for something I enjoy."
Rose handed him a coffee mug and some cookies, "Ooh, does it mean what I think it means?"
Jake shrugged and tried to think of a suitable answer when Zara shouted from her room. "Mom, stop harassing him."
Rose winked at Jake who laughed as Zara climbed down the stairs. "I hope Mr. Turner is doing okay, now. Z told me about his cardiac arrest."
Jake sobered a bit at the mention of his grandpa. "Umm, yeah. He is kind of okay now but doctors have warned him to not do anything too stressful."
