Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

"Hello, I'm Lauren Kyles, its nice to meet you," I said before she told me to follow her.

The manager then took me into a room in the back. Before sitting down and asking "tea or coffee?"

"Coffee please if that's not too much to ask?"

She got up and poured some tea for herself and grabbed a mug before pouring my coffee. "There you are, dear."

"Thank you very much," I said gingerly. The manager was a petite girl around 5 feet tall. She had hair down to her shoulder, she wore a button-up dress shirt with a pencil skirt paired with a matching blazer and black stilettos.

"Welcome to Moshi Moshi, may I see your resume?"

"of course here you are." I handed over my resume and waited patiently for her to look it over.

"So your pretty fast at getting around I'm assuming?" she asked.

"Yes, Ma'am," I said. I'm assuming she noticed that I've played on a few sports teams. I am actually quite quick on my feet. Considering I have 5 brothers and the amount of chasing around the house was nothing to sneeze at.

"Well, I see you have no previous work experience? And you've only volunteered at places involving sports?"

"Unfortunately yes. I was hoping to focus on school, get good grades, and pass with flying colours." I said in the most professional tone I could muster up.

"So why exactly do you want this job? Why do you think you would be a good addition to the workplace here?" she said with a poker face.

"Well you see, my father thought it was about time I got a job. My brothers all had jobs at my age and my father thought it was a good idea for me as well." I said. Technically I didn't lie because it was my father who wanted me to get a job but she didn't need to know it was for a speeding ticket. "I think I would be a good addition to the workplace here because I am dedicated and hardworking as you can see I have 5 siblings all being older than me. So I have experience waiting on others. I've worked on quite a few sports teams so I'm used to working with others."

"Alright since your 17 I'm assuming you're in your senior year? When are you free to work exactly?"

I haven't really thought of when I was able to work. I mentally scrolled through my schedule but I guess a few hours on weekends and probably after school. However, I haven't considered soccer matches. Usually, matches are on Thursdays. Then there's practice right after school 'till 5 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Curfew is at 10 on weekdays and midnight on weekends unless I called and said otherwise. School ends at 2:15 and 12:50 on Fridays. It takes 10 minutes to get here if I drive. Considering all of this...

"Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5:30 to 9:30. Friday is from 2:30 to 11:30. Saturdays and Sundays are anytime 'till 11:30. Though this may change due to soccer matches and tournaments I'll be sure to inform you a week ahead of time on whether or not I'll be able to make it. However, most tournaments and games are on Thursday." I said though I may not look like it I'm actually pretty good at quick thinking.

"Very well, we will give you a call in the next 2-3 business days if you will be working," she said before getting up.

"It was nice meeting you. Have a good day." I said.

"You too." That was the last thing she said before leaving. The clicking of her heels on the floor. I then got up and rushed to Saphrone's.
