"Have you heard the news?" Standing beside her in the elevator, Ms kriti questioned Shana.
"About what?" busy on her phone, reading Riya's message" Happy Birthday, bestyy" for the nth time, asking herself why she had not answered the question she had asked Riya a day before, she enquired Ms kriti.
She waited for her to reply but when she did not receive any, she lifted her eyes from her phone to see Ms kriti looking at her worriedly.
"What happened, Kriti?" She spoke immediately.
Ms kriti hesitated for a second, and then spoke " I heard Aniket's wife talking to higher authorities for his release."
And that spoiled her mood for the day.
She was about to ask more when the elevator opened.
And there he was, standing in his full glory.
