"Withdraw," the old man next to Amelia shouted an order to his brother.
But Alex, neither Luke was allowing that to happen.
_Since you came, why don't you stay._ (Alex thoughts)
_don't run now, I was mediating since you want me here I am_ (Luke thoughts)
Three shadows surround his back and Alex and Luke at the front.
Luke then created a Black Orb around them, swallowing the whole barn, trapping him, Alex, the whw old man, and the shadows inside. Luke did this to evade the water bomb of the war scythe user and block the other's view.
Luke figured Alex did not want anyone to see what he could do, which is why the battle lasted long. Ever since he was meditating, he knew it was Alex that killed the girl 'Lisa' and framed him. The second shadow that Alex created to attack the old man confirmed his suspension. Then Alex coming near him, claiming that the second shadow was his only made it more apparent.
The black orb was like a hard shell created from the shadow element. The inside of the black orb was spacious, with enough room for them to have an all-out fight without a disturbance.
The old war hammer-wielding man knew Alex and Luke planned to limit any interruption, but he did not care he was confident in his skills in handling both Alex and Luke and escaping.
The old man created a blueish lighting field from his lighting elemental affinity similar to the black orb around himself. However, the lightning field differed from the orb, smaller and it spun as it grew, shielding the hammer-wielding bastard while threatening to destroy Luke, Alex, the shadow trolls, and the black orb as it expanded.
Alex wasn't going to allow this to happen. This was their chance; he immediately stopped holding back, releasing seven black purplish lightning of his own to shallow the Oldmans. Alex's lightning were smaller and all over the place; they could hardly be called a lightning field, since he didn't have the skill which prompting him to release seven of them. But it did what he needed. The darkness element within the black lightning allowed it to slowly consume the bluish lighting.
The old man and Luke were shocked at this development. More so, Luke because he knew that Alex had an affinity with space and the shadow element. The lighting elementalist now realized why Alex was not stunned after clashing with his hammers. He had genuinely thought that the swords were made with some rare material that nullified the lightning. Alex's black lightning eroded a hole in the blue lighting orb, allowing Alex and Luke to swiftly approach the old man.
The old man aimed a hammer at both of them with all of his strength. He wanted to end this as soon as possible.
Luke barley was able to block one hammer with three shadows together, pining the hammer between a combination of eight daggers while being electrocuted. The other war hammer was going towards Alex's chest as he, too, swung his blade with so much force to block it, but that was not Alex's intention. The blade disappeared, passing thru the war hammer.
As the blade passes through, the hammer stayed on its original course to his chest until his body also faded, allowing it to meet the ground. Alex's sword did not stop from its continuous motion as it faded past the hammer into the old man's chest. The old man was rattled by the scene as a sly smile was plastered on both of Alex's and Luke's faces.
The old man was wearing thick heavy armor, so the blade would have a hard time cutting thru it to wound him. This was why the old man wasn't worried about the blade when it passed through his hammer nor did he understood what took place.
Alex didn't materialize the blade until it was in the center of the old man's chest.
The venom on the blade took care of the rest.
Alex quickly faded his blade again, removing it from the old man's chest. Both Luke and Alex were panting heavily. Alex distributed health, mana, and stamina potions to Luke before consuming some too.
"Keep the orb up. Don't move it until after three minutes. Then join me to kill the others; the fewer people there, the easier for us to leave," Alex beckoned while pointing to himself and Luke.
"the only reason I am in this shit is because of you." Luke retorted.
"Well, you tried to kill me, Luke, TWICE, and I didn't kill you. Look, it was all of you that came to attack me, and you may survive to tell the tale. Besides, when I leave, so will you," Alex stated before piercing the throat of the war hammerer wielder, killing him.

"Star, what is this Evolution? ,"Alex asked internally.
"well, You weren't born a Demi-god, so your body needs to evolve; I told you more of my blood would be released until you could handle all of it. Evolving is the only way for your body to become stronger."
Alex nodded his head, "should I proceed?"
"No, you need a safe place; from what I know, the process should be long and painful." Star hurriedly dispels Alex's foolish idea.
"No, do not proceed," Alex said to the system.

Alex ignored the information; the fight in the black orb barely last five minutes, and his conversation with Star and the system was less than twenty seconds.
The black orb muffled the battle's sounds, but it was still audible, and everyone outside wondered why the fighting stopped.
Alex blinked out of the orb to the only open space node that was 4ft from the poisoned old man and scythe user. The Old man swung the war scythe when he saw Alex, and Alex jumped back as the old man gave chase. Alex turned around while being pursued(running backwards), sheath one of his blades and launched axes at the poisoned brother forcing the scythe user back.
When everyone saw Alex blinked out, they all had different thoughts. Brittney, Theodore, and Laurel's bodyguard thought the war hammer-wielding old man was dead or poisoned.
The old man brothers had an idea of what happened; even though the orb was still up, Luke could not handle their brother alone; most likely, he was poisoned too.
As everyone was thinking about the situation, a teleportation circle appeared in the sky near the barn. But it shattered 'crack... crack... crack.... crush' like glass because of space being locked. Amelia cursed at her own stupidity. While Alex applauded it.
"You all wanted to know where the door to the underworld was, and I have the directions," Alex laughed like a lunatic enjoying himself.
Alex was not a fool; the reason he approached the war scythe user without Luke was to capitalize on the shock they would feel after the black orb disappears. Giving him a silent chance to get rid of the war scythe wielder. The scythed user stayed between the spot Alex could instantly teleport and his poisoned brother. This was what Alex wanted. If he needed to breathe or the scythe followed him, he would back away while throwing axes at the Unable poisoned bastard.
Amelia saw the play Alex was performing and said to the old man beside her, "go and help him. I will be alright with the royal knights here."
The old man listened and headed to Alex's Location.
Theodore wished he could scream _the fuck we won't_
but it was part of their job as royal mages.
Alex heard Amelia and pushed back from the scythe user before launching poisoned axes at her from his storage ring. Amelia did not panic or move, the old man that left her side was about to stop, but then he saw Theodore calmly hit the axes back with his sword.
Alex looked at Theodore and said, "you really like your job?" before meeting the old man halberd head-on.
Alex did not hold back, showing his ghost fade; he could not afford to be tied up by the creepers that sprouted from the ground trying to entangle him. The old man with the halberd had an elemental affinity with plants, meaning he did not require spells for his creepers like his brothers.
Theodore heard Alex and shrugged his shoulders; he was hoping that the duke got here in time. He was sure that the teleportation circle in the sky that shattered was the dukes trying to see why his wife called for her guards. After the teleportation shattered, it would not be long before the duke came with many guards and mages. And he would leave that to them and head to meet the viscount of Saint Rothen. Even if he faced Alex, he was sure he could keep his life and protect the others. Still, he was unsure if Alex revealed all his cards or abilities, but that didn't really matter to him.
The halberd user was flabbergasted seeing his creepers and attacks, pass-thru Alex. When Alex was tied with the plant spell-bind, he blinked out instead of walking out.
_ was he toying with us this whole time _the old man with the halberd thought?
The black orb was removed, revealing Luke and the dead old man on the floor. The effects were just as Alex predicted.
Amelia and the scythe user bellowed in unison, "Cater!" causing the halberd user to create distance from Alex and look in the direction of where the black orb was.
