Alex placed the venom in his inventory and then thanked Star. There were still over five hours before sunrise, and Alex planned to use that time to familiarize himself with the various skills he had recently got. The jail was the perfect playground; no one would care if one or two prisoners died.
Alex would avoid using his shadow troll skill since the mana requirement was excessive. I would also only have 2/3 of his already weak level.
Alex coated his blades in the Raška Venom and used his skill, rift walk, to open a rift in space (void). As he entered the rift, it felt like he was looking out of a window. Alex walked into the void, out of his cell, into the cell next to his. There he saw a blonde-haired rugged man sleeping peacefully in his bed. Alex reminded in the void, deciding against killing so close to his own cell, before continuing walking until he was sure he was ten cells away from his jail. There was no need to draw suspension to himself. When in fear, people can think of some wild theories!
In the eleventh cell, a redhead brute was exercising; he wore light tan-torn clothing with a sliver brace. He became Alex's first test target.

"Star, how come I didn't have one on?" Alex asked.
"Because that body of yours was mana-less, and you were practically dead. Who would fear a partially dead man that could not use mana?"

After obtaining no information, Alex walks behind the man and prepares to open the rift, when the man swiftly turns around and sends a ruthless jab towards Alex's throat. While in the void, Alex could not help but touch his throat. If he was a second faster, he would have a broken trachea. It puzzled the man when he saw no one was there, but he immediately screamed for the guards. His sense always led him away from danger, and they were shrieking for him to get out now. The brute wailed like his life was on the line.
"HELP. SOMEONE IS TRYING TO KILL ME. HELP HELP." The brute continued to scream to the top of his lungs.
Alex could only blame himself for not taking the sleeping blonde next to his cell. With no time to rush back to his cell, Alex decided to test whether he would be able to blink in the void. To his surprise, it did! Once in his cell, Alex tore the void and lay on the floor of his cell pretending to be nearly dead. Once on the back on the floor, he could hear the guards rushing down to the eleventh jail cell.
"Why didn't you just kill the prisoner and the guards? Didn't you coat the blades in venom? Star questioned, after seeing Alex blunder, "All it would have taken was just one swipe."
"How would I know that? Maybe You could see their level and abilities, but I can't! Who can say whether the guards or the prisoner don't have a skill that could negate the poison? If inspect can't show their information, there is no need to take the risk of a head-to-head confrontation. I am not even used to this body yet, and Killing the guards would put the other guards on high alert and make it difficult for me to slip out. No one saw me; no harm, no foul. In my old life, I was good at this." Alex replied.
"But didn't you die?" Star laughed in an eerie manner.
"I could say the same to you, Mr. soul fragment dad" If Star had a face, it would be twitching at Alex's reply.
Once the guards found nothing, they ruthlessly beat the brute within an inch of his life. You could hear them.
"I was fucking sleeping. Where is the killer? Show me? Show me? You like playing games, we can play! I get it; you need a bedtime story. I'll put you to sleep, don't move, don't move; this is a lullaby. Go to sleep!"
As the guards walked up, they used their elemental affinity to conjure a flame to check every cell. Once they were sure that everyone was in their cell, they went back to their post and dozed off.

Alex saw he lost 34 mana in the failed attempt and could do nothing but sigh. The Brute sense of perception was outstanding. Even though he failed, he realized he could use blink within a void/rift. Alex looked at his stats again and then distributed all the points he had to agility, increasing it to 90. Each available point was worth 10. Once Alex was sure that the guards were faintly asleep, Alex opened a rift again and rushed into the void. Running all the way to the eleventh cell. Alex wanted to use less mana than the first failed attempt. He saw the brute leaning on the wall, barely able to move; without hesitation, he opened the rift and struck the brute with the venom-covered blade in the thigh. Which surprised the brute; before he could even yell for help, the poison paralyzed him. There he looked at Alex almost with a pleading gaze. Alex ignored the man and tested the ghost blades, and his skill ghost faded repeatedly. He would slash at the brute continuously. The brute was prepared to die, but after five minutes, he felt no pain, just to witness Alex's blades, arms, legs even his body passing thru him. This was the first time the brute saw such skill and wondered whether it was due to space element or was the gods protecting him. In his mind, he hoped to survive this, but at last, Alex stabbed him in the heart.

Alex distributed the 2 available points to agility. Increasing his ability to 115 (95+20). After killing the brute, Alex left the body there. Everyone heard the guards beating the daylights out of the brute. No further explanation is needed. Alex entered the rift again, walking to the cell next to the brutes. There, a beast-man was sound asleep with his back perfectly exposed. Alex did not waste time inspecting and instantly opening the rift and stabbing the beast-man behind the neck. After testing the venom on the brute, Alex knew it worked fast, but there was always the risk that the opponent could avoid the blade.
The beast-man stared at the cell in disbelief. The beast-man was shocked because there was a treaty between humans, beast-man, and elves. The treaty stated that all beast-man, humans, and elves of nobility must be sent back to the kingdom or world to be judged by their courts.
If not for the treaty, the beast-man would not have slept so peacefully. Especially after the brute screamed so wildly. Whatever happens to the humans didn't concern him. If he was wide awake, this would never have occurred since a beast man's senses were ten times better than humans or elves.
Alex did not kill the beast-man right away; he still wanted to test the ghost blades mana steal. He kept slicing the beast-man, hoping to trigger the mana steal function. After two minutes with nothing happening, Alex stabbed him again and thought, 'Absorb.'

"Hey Star, will my mana be replenished every time I Level up?" Alex asked as this was one of his main concerns since most of his skills required mana.
"Yes. Not only that, but you don't have to meditate for hours like most humans to fill your mana back up. Well, you aren't human anymore. As you absorb with the blades, try to feel it and learn!"
When Alex was done testing the blade's absorb, he stabbed the beast from the back, pushing the blade through his heart and out of his chest.

Arthur Notes: (the skill rift(or void) walk allows Alex to walk in the void, so he does not fall down in the void. Think of the void as an endless pit. We can compare rift/void walking to having a jet pack; if the jet pack doesn't have the fuel, you will fall from the sky. Mana would be the fuel in Alex's case. There is no noise or suction force when a rift is open because what he did was tear space. Not invent a black hole. Alex can not fly in the void because he doesn't have that skill.)
