Alex's sharp words made Russelle to doubt that something must have happened. Just as Alex had mentioned he was fully aware that the devil king was alone enough to destroy his entire kingdom but he thought because of Sylia he might resist himself. Of course it was before they tried this spell attack on her!
"He… did he attack?" Russelle stuttered while he was speaking as he could hardly believe that the devil king would let go of a thought for Sylia and would have really attacked. Could it be that while they were performing spells Alex had become too weak to even protect the eastern continent? That very thought made him restless. He should have thought carefully before treading on this thin thread. Alex let his father to let his mind run into wild directions and have endless negative possibilities to hover his head.
