Sylia was curious and shocked when she had Yama. She could not believe his words, not at all.
"What did you just say?" Sylia questioned while hissing.
"It's the truth, if you want to believe me you can or you can always choose not to believe me." Yama replied in a gloomy voice trying his best to trap her in his plan. He was about to turn back but suddenly added.
"If... You want time you can take it. But I hope you will soon regain your memories and believe my words." Although he was taking a gamble by speaking such words to her but he was not afraid. Did he have anything to lose? No.
Apart from being the head of the clan what else he had?
Without speaking much he went towards the bed and laid down however as usual while sleeping he was not completely asleep. He was half awake in order to be on alert every time.
Sylia remained rooted on her spot as she thought about Yama's words from time and again. Her earlier cold and fierce expression was nowhere to be found. It seemed her earlier expressions was only to scare those against whom her instincts alert her to be wary of. Her eyes darted towards where he was sleeping and soon her brows furrowed.
She did not dared to sleep on the same bed where he was sleeping. Instead she wanted to leave this room but where she was supposed to go right now? Looking at the bed-size couch on the other side she walked towards it and settled herself on it.
The next sunrise brought a surprising news to the asuras along with a new morning.
Inside the court of the castle, all the ministers as well as the other working subordinates were having an important meeting today. It was an emergency. As just in one night eight locals along with two vampires were dead. Although the number was small but the effect which the reason behind these deaths was causing was very harmful. If it did not stop in time then there might be a chance that just how a drought arrives due to lack of water, there was going to be silence with nobody alive to make this sect live.
"What is the exact reason?" Yama's brows were knitted into a knot while he questioned one of his ministers. The latter stood up from his seat as he lowered his head down in shame and guilt while answering.
"Master... The cause is still unknown. It seemed that this had arrived all of a sudden."
Yama's mood dampened more. Early in the morning he received a news about the mysterious deaths and poison. It was said that it was highly contagious. Even the group of soldiers that was staying at the back side of the castle, inside one of the tents there were around three soldiers staying together, all three of them were suffering from this poison.
"Master…"
A soldier wearing the iron shield in front of him arrived and bowed his head while crossing his hands in front of his chest.
The Yama gestured to him to start informing about the news he had brought along with him.
"According to the Bhisak, he is unable to find the right reason behind all this but he said that it would be spreading with a very good speed and if not controlled at the right time, then…" The soldier did not continued when he noticed the darkened expression on Yama so he instead decided to inform the other news.
"Also master… the witch, she said that it must be a black magic spell. And this… could lead to very dangerous outcomes."
When the Yama heard the last part of the sentence, he furrowed his brows while being in a deep thought. In the next instant his fingers that were on the top of his sword handle tightened as his expressions changed as well. He looked fierce, making everyone present their tremble in fear. Each and everyone present inside the court, immediately lowered their head, not daring to look at him, leave alone making an eye contact with him.
With rage and furiousness filled inside him, he stood up from his seat and walked out of the court in fury. The minister and the others inside the court room sighed in relief.
Inside Yama's cave room, Sylia was sitting on the edge of the bed with a crease on her forehead while she was in a deep thought. What all happened last night was going around in her mind. For an instance , she could not help but believe Yama's words but what proof did he had? The only question which was making her doubt Yama's words again.
If he wanted to do something to her, he could have done while she was unconscious but he did not do anything to harm her, instead make sure that she would heal up soon.
While she was in the midst of her thoughts, Yama had barged inside the room making her stunned. He looked at her with a glare and came towards her as he grabbed her both the hands tightly. Sylia was too surprised to do anything which had caught her off-guard.
His grips on her milky white skin was so tight that her skin had started to turn blue around the places where his fingers were grabbing her hand.
"It was you, right?" He questioned her in a cold voice, tightening his grip once more.
