Never, should we let our ambitions stop us from achieving our true dreams.

"And the winner of Herondale indoors competition is - Sara!" The man's microphone rattles as all the people around the woman sitting on an old couch get on their feet and begin to applaud for her best friend on TV, as Sara walks unto the stage in her sundress and claims her fat cheque.
Mirdia is lost in her world until a little tap on her shoulder brings her back to reality and she just had to look up.
"Miri? Miri? Did you see my Mom! Mommy is on TV Mirdia she's on TV and she won big money. So big that we can all move into our own house without lousy neighbours. Yes and we can also buy chocolate for me and you. And we can also buy shoes for you two. Red, blue, you name the color. And we can also - "
Mirdia fades the rest of the nine year old 's day dreams and begins to ruffle his blond hair as Daniel now starts to bounce on the couch dramatically when it's noticeable she was no more paying attention and now slowly sinking into the couch.
He isn't the only one turning the place upside down with their screams of excitement tho. No, there's also Sara's grandparents, uncles and even neighbours.
All there with her son to celebrate her winning quick money.
Why does it always happen for the ones that don't need it? She asks herself.
I mean so yeah, she's a mother that dropped out of college to take care of her won but I'm also a college dropout. But then she'll use the business that she's most likely going to share with me.
"Yes she's an awesome person but still. Oh why am I so confused?" She silently asks every everyone but somehow, no one seemed to listen to her.
As the red haired now begins to cuddle into her weak arms, she finds herself rubbing his scalp once again as the rejoicing lowers and everyone were now in their seats while the reporter continues announcing the other winners.
Although she's very happy for Sara, yep, very happy. She wouldn't wait until her own luck comes. No, instead of waiting patiently, she decides right there and then, that this was her last weekend watching luck flee from her.
But it seems like luck was actually on her side that day cause before she can begin planning how the hec that could be achieved, the door bell rings.
Behind her was the 5th person she considered to be in her list of worst mistakes romantically and he to be exact, doesn't waste time to announce his entrance.
"Yo Yo Yo, Jack's in the building!" Throwing his tanned arms to the air, Sara's cousin rushes towards his Old Pops and they do some kind of 'You came!' hug. Acting like she doesn't notice him and focuses her attention on the TV that is now showcasing the credentials, she has to continue pretending through half of it until a weight crashes at the kid's side.
"Well will you look at that Sara's kid is so big now. What's your name again champ?" He pinches the most tomato looking parts of his face and he continues to ignore her.
"Daniel. Nice to see you again Jake," He shines his missing tooth at him and although she can't see it, Mirdia was sure it was adorable as fuck.
"Ah finally you're gonna get your adult teeth,"
"Yes I know. Aunty Mirdia helped me bury the first one and now, I've lost so much I don't remember how many," Jake tilts his head at her.
"Hello Mirdea,"
"Hey," She looks at her nails like they were just freshly painted and Daniel gets up.
"I know I know, you don't have to tell me to leave. Grown ups talking about grown up stuff," He gets off and rushes towards the other kids that don't see him coming.
And with that, she's left on her own.
"So, my cousin's a 100k richer and now has somewhat people at home that are proud of her. So tell me, what have you done with these few months M?"
Believe it or not, this was their special way of greeting and therefore, she was happy he wasn't still mad at her.
"Well although I might not have achieved anything yet, I know I can. Just need the right connections," Maintaining eye contact, she begins to trace the lines of her lips in a move she most likely meant for to be seductive.
She continues like this until he gets her drift and gets up immediately.
"No, not a chance. Not in this world, and if there's another, not in that either," He's about to leave her like Daniel when she takes hold of his sensitive spot.
The part where he's always loved her soothing.
His wrist. Hey! What did you think I was going to say?
Well holding it, she slowly makes him seat back next to her and she tries to go on a slower pace.
"Jake?"
"Yes Mirdia?"
"Well you know that I know that you work in a music studio right?"
"Right. And I'm guessing you'll try and use that to blackmail me into giving you a hell load of cash for your silence right?"
"Wha - Why would you think I would use you that much, I'm not a gold digger you know,"
"Um hm,"
"But I'll give it to you straight. I need a job, but not just any one, a job that will make me more money than the children's hospital,"
He looks at her for some time. Until he realises she wasn't joking.
"Oh my God. Sorry but really I can't believe you and what you've just said. You want a job in the music industry, but you haven't even finished 3rd year of Psychology. Freaking psychology which doesn't even concern music. Besides, do you even have a clue on the kinds of jobs I can get you with that 'application" you call it?" Relaxing his legs on her laps, it doesn't take him time for her to smack them off.
"No. And honestly, I don't care. Really I can be the lights woman or coffee guy for that matter. Anything that will keep these hands busy. Anything, just help me Jake," Now taking his hands back, Mirdia might have tried to hide it, but the desperation on her face was clearly speaking better than her words.
"I need to get out of my comfort zone and anything will help,"
"Anything?"
"Anything," This one comes out a bit struggled as she begins to wonder what 'anything' for Jake could be.

A/N: I hate when I listen to songs before going to bed, especially the annoying ones with repeated choruses. But aside from that I enjoyed this chapter so freaking much. Hope you did too.
