Weirdly no one asked us any questions related to our sudden disappearance. Not even when we tried to bring it up.
"Sarah?" All heads swivel towards my father's voice standing a few feet away from me.
I jumped up from the sofa and rushed into his arms. "Oh! My baby!" My daddy cried as he hugged me and I cried with him. "My sweet little girl."
"I missed you dad." I sniffed into his shoulder.
"Daddy missed his princesses too." He says now looking at my face with affection.
"Hey! I'm also here!" Maria jumps in and joins in for a group hug. We laugh together as daddy engulfs the both of us in his rough hands.
"Both of you have grown so much." He kisses on our hair and gives his teeth-baring smile.
"But you are still young and smart to me." I snuggle into his chest and inhale his scent that I missed so much.
