Without waiting for another second I pushed myself up on the ladder and crawled until a strong pair of hands grabbed me and pulled me up.
"Sarah, I have something to tell you." He breathed as soon my feet landed on the floor deck.
"Me too," I said, controlling my own raging breath. My heart was hammering hard inside my chest.
"Sarah.... I.... Umm..." His voice sounded hesitant. He wasn't William whom I never saw hesitant and confused before. He was definitely my brat, my Daniel. "I don't know how to say this." He gives a confused laugh.
Instead of waiting for him to tell me what he had wanted to say, I muster up my courage and open my mouth to finally speak those words aloud that bore deep in my heart.
"Daniel, I love you."
"I love you, Sarah!"
We both admit at the same time. Our eyes widened as we looked at each other and I could see in his eyes the sudden jolt of spark and the new energy radiating out of him.
