William had left the room and Samuel sat staring at me, his fist clenched on his lap and jaw gritting.
Why had William suddenly done that? Why had he crossed the line that I recently drew between us and to add more, in front of Samuel?
I was already embarrassed by the sudden Ki- I mean K-word and now I have to also hide my face from Samuel's glowering eyes.
"What is happening between you two?" Samuel's voice was hoarse.
"N-nothing." He suddenly gets up from the far-away sofa and hovers over me in a flash in the most intimidating way.
"Don't lie to me, Sarah. He wouldn't kiss you for nothing." He growls and for a second I fell for that harsh sound, coming out of him but I squared my shoulders and faced him with equal ferocity.
"I have told you everything and if you still choose not to believe me then... it's a pity on me to have a person like yourself on my side."
