After returning to the seclusion chamber, Yuan sat down and closed his eyes, entering a state of deep contemplation about the martial technique he intended to create.
Unlike crafting treasures of specific ranks, creating a martial technique was far more unpredictable and perplexing. Even if Yuan aimed to create a Mythic-rank technique, there was no guarantee it would achieve that rank. It could just as easily result in an Ancient-rank technique or even something of lower rank, depending on the execution and refinement of his concept.
However, there was a method to increase the likelihood of creating martial techniques of a specific rank— by combining two or more techniques of that rank. By merging their principles and mechanics, one could craft a new, often more powerful, technique that retained the essence of its predecessors while pushing beyond its original limitations.
