At the end of school I went out with Kelly to the car park.
"So I'm leaving but you have to give me your number so we can be in touch"
"Yeah, that's right"
I give her my number and left her as she and James drove off. I wait for my mother but luckily she texted me.
"We need to discuss, I would be at your school in 5 minutes"
Wondering what she wanted to tell me that she had to text me about made me feel that something was wrong. She got to the school exactly 5 minutes and I entered the car.
"Okay since your old enough to drive yourself, I bought you a car"
"Thanks mom, I so excited"
"Also you would have your own key to the house"
"Okay, where is this leading to"
"Nothing"
"Okay, so what do you want to tell me?"
"When we get home I would tell you"
As we got home I quickly went to take a cool shower so that my nerves could relax. As I was through with my shower I picked up my phone to check for any messages but I noticed the battery was flat and so I went downstairs to see if my charger was on the dining table but as I got downstairs I could my hear my mum talking to someone about relocating to Texas but she was angry and denied the assignment. I recognized the voice of the man she was speaking to on the phone, it was Richard Wilson one of the most ignorant, rich and handsome 21th century men I've seen, he never takes NO for an answer unless your his boss but I wonder who would be his boss because he is the owner of Wilson limited which is like a multi billionaire business. But for my mums case this isn't the first time she had told him no and he didn't force her or do anything.
So I went to her and asked her what had happened this time with her and her boss, she doesn't know that I know his who he is. So she sat down and told me that she had something to say and she had to come clean.
"So what do you want to tell me"
"Well, you can remember when you were in grade 6"
"Yes, you went to Miami for a month"
"Yes, I told you that it was for a business trip and that we might relocate again"
"I remember, I got angry but then happy that we didn't"
"I ..." she stopped as she heard the doorbell ring. I go to the door to see who it was.
"It's pizza mum" I shouted
"Okay, the cash is on the glass table to your right"
As I took the pizza, I went back to sit with her to continue our discussion.
"You were saying"
She didn't even reply, so we just ate our pizzas and and went to bed. Obviously I need more details on our conversation so I Waited till about 11pm I the night knowing that she would have fast asleep and trying to sneak into her has been a difficult thing for me because she had coughs me so many times but that didn't mean I never had few success in it. So I crept into the room and I took her phone which is always on her desk and opened to check her messages. Getting through her password wasn't a big deal because it was her bosses name 'Richard'. Going through her chat I noticed that she had been seeing him and he had asked her to move to Texas not for a relocation but for them to discuss about how to tell me and my sisters about them and their soon to be marriage and his last text to her was "I love you" and she replied the same thing. Feeling uncomfortable with this, that she had been hiding her relationship from us. I know Elizabeth and I can accept this but what of Jane who was like our late fathers pet, his little darling. I put down her phone and opened a part of the drawer and I found a little box, I opened it and saw a dazzling diamond ring right there, I covered my mouth with my hands to avoid my gasp being heard. I put it down and sneaked out quietly knowing this discussion is for another day.
