140 kilometers away from the Village of Tonetrask there stood a small town called Foggy dews town. The town's got its name from the fact that it was foggy consistently throughout the year.
That day a youth was calmly sitting in the back of a blue mutated donkey-drawn carriage. He was wearing a light brown colored robe with peculiar marking and had a cold disposition.
He had above-average looks but if you look closely you can find that he had a face that had experienced the vicissitudes of life. He had slightly long black hair and had tied into a bun.
This was Lief, who after the disaster had started traveling to the nearby town.
He went back to the village after the meeting with the mysterious entity to find that everything was reduced to dust. Even the lake had been destroyed due to the intensity of the battle, he then by gathering what was left build a small grave for everyone and left after mourning them for some days.
His goal was to first find his long-lost father before gaining strength and find his mother for the answers he was looking for.
After the fight at the village, he took all the things that were left to salvage and started traveling. It has been barely a month since the tragedy took place. The experience felt as if he was just dreaming with open eyes.
"Ashes to Ashes Dust to Dust, so it was not a nightmare," he was muttering as he was looking outside the carriage when a voice called out to him," Mr. Lief we are reaching shortly at our destination."
It was an old man wearing a black cloak, he was the carriage driver.
"Ok, can you recommend me an inn in the town where I would absolutely not be disturbed," Lief said calmly to the old man.
Soon he arrived in front of an inn called 'Melon ebony' inn that the old man recommended. He walked in and a middle-aged man warmly greeted him and asked him if he needed room to stay.
He said calmly, "I need a private room to stay." and he threw 5 copper dicables to the table [ dicables-common currency of the world]
The shopkeeper raised an eyebrow before leading him to an extremely silent room with thick walls and had many symbols that soundproofed the entire room.
Lief sat down and then quickly checked if there was anything funny in the entire room. After ensuring there was none he sat down and tried to activate the strange mark inside of his mind.
This was a step that needed his complete concentration after all this was something that would result in a primary evolution as his entire body's capabilities and potential would change because of this action.
The entity called this the path mark and was something absolutely necessary to step into the 'Great path'.
The entity had helped him find this mark previously, this was an incredibly crucial step that left at least 95% of creatures unable to step into the 'path'.
Now he needed to step into the metamorphosis stage but it was only the starting point of the metamorphosis stage which had 9 rings or 9 stages of which the 'ninth' ring is the weakest and 'first' ring is the strongest.
After gathering all the rings will be able to come out of the cocoon and fly off into the vast skies.
Moreover, the path he was walking in was his own path and it was extremely hard to progress but his potential was limitless as there were no restrictions like the path an entire world follows as the highest one can go depends on the world itself and if the world was somehow destroyed their path will also come to an end.
He started chanting the 'strange' chant which was instructed to him by the mysterious entity
"Hope this works!" Lief said out loud before he grew decisive and started trying to forcefully break the limits of his mortal body.
Leif felt as if strange energy was circulating through his body before he was hit with pain from all parts of his body and felt as if his body was going to burst open
"This is the crucial moment that would decide whether I would be able to transcend my mortal shackles" he roared as he circulated the strange rune with all of his mental energy and continued this for 4 hours after which beams of dazzling lights shot of his body.
