Jasmine's POV
I woke up with my alarm on my phone going off. Groaning I climb out of bed and walk into my bathroom. Quickly showering and doing my business I walk out to see all the girls in my room.
"Morning." They chirp.
"Morning." I smiled.
"Here Luke made you coffee. See you downstairs in a few." Rebekah smiled and handed me a cup of coffee and all of them left.
I walk into my closet and grab a black button up dress that shows of my curves but not to much, it reaches about a little over mid thigh. I'm a little nervous to start today. Sure I know what I'm doing but still it's my first day and I have to be nervous, right?
Grabbing nude zip up heels I walk to my make up table and start doing a light smokey eye with light pink lipstick. I spray some perfume and grab my white doctors coat hanging in my closet. I leave my shoulder length hair in it's natural waves. When I look at my phone it's already 8:35 am I have to be there at 9.
Putting on my doctors coat I grab my purse and my shoes. Putting them on while running down the stairs and running around everybody in the house also trying not to fall. Finally I have my last shoe on just as I walk into the kitchen. Seeing almost everyone there.
"Morning." They greeted.
"Morning." I say in a rush voice.
I put a slice of bread in the toaster and grab my purple coffee mug that can close. I put coffee in there and grab my toast buttering it and plop it in my mouth. I bend down to zip up my shoes and when I stood up straight again everyone is looking at me with smiles.
"What?" I ask after I swallow my bite.
"You look so professional and beautiful." Emily smiled.
"Thanks." I smile back.
"Did you get your shoes on?" Max asked amused when he walked in.
"Yes and I didn't even fall." I laughed.
"We have a surprise for you." Carter smiled and handed me a box. When I open it I see a brand new stethoscope.
"Wow thanks." I smiled looking up at them.
"Here let me." Hunter smiled and took it and put in around my neck.
"Now you look professional." He smiled down at me.
"Thank you." I smiled. Just then I look at the clock behind him and it says 8:45.
"Oh god I have to go." I said in a rush grabbing my coffee, purse and car keys.
"Bye guys and girls." I smile and started speed walking towards my car.
"Wait Jasmine." Carter and Luke yelled from behind me.
"Yes." I stop and turn around only for both of them to run into me. I almost fell over but both of them grabbed me and steadied me.
"Nice save." I laughed with them.
"Thanks." They both laughed and released me.
"Here take this if you want to buy food or anything." Carter said handing me money.
"No thanks I have money Carter. I can buy myself food or anything." I smile pushing his hand away.
"But I-. Fine." He sighed and took it back.
"Also relax Jasmine. You will do great. See you tonight." Luke smiled and squeezed my shoulders.
"Thanks guys. See you." I smiled and climbed in my car. I waved at them and started driving towards St. Mary's where I will be working.
I got there in under 5 minutes leaving me with 10 minutes left. When I parked my car in my spot that has my name on. Yeah I know I have a freaking spot just for me, this is awesome. I'm totally fan girling inside now. I parked and got out of my purple mustang. When I grabbed my coffee mug and purse I look up to see almost everyone there staring at me.
"Morning." I smiled at them and started walking towards the doors.
"Hi you're Jasmine Mikealson right?" A guy with brown hair and light brown eyes asks. He's about 6'1 and is well build with a slight British accent. He's also wearing a white doctors coat with blue jeans and a blue fitted t-shirt.
''Yeah. And you are?'' I ask.
''Nathan Sawyer.'' He smiled. I smiled back at him and shook his hand.
''Nice to meet you.'' I smiled.
''You too.'' He smiled. We walked in the doors and almost everyone stopped and stared. When I look left Nathan was already gone, great they're staring at me.
''Doctor Mikealson right?'' A girl asks beside me. She looks 19 maybe 20. She has light long brown hair and brown eyes. She's about 5'5 like me.
''Yes that's me.'' I smiled.
''Hi I'm Tori. You're PA.'' She smiled at me.
''Hi Tori. Please call me Jasmine.'' I smiled.
''Of course. Here follow me you will be working with Dr. Hale today. She will just show you how things work here. Nice stethoscope by the way." Tori explained and complemented.
"Thanks Tori. I love your hair." I smiled.
"Thanks." She smiled and blushed.
"Also I will be with you all day so if you need anything like coffee or so just ask." Tori explained.
"No need Tori. You're my PA not personal slave." I smiled. She nodded and we walked so that I can check in. After we did I put my phone and my wallet in my jacket pocket and put my purse in my locker. Yes I even have my own locker.
We walked out and down the halls just talking and Tori showing everything. I found out she's 20 and didn't want to be a doctor or nurse but she wanted to help people so she became a PA and was chosen for me by the hospital.
"Hi Dr. Hale. This is Dr. Jasmine Mikealson." Tori smiled to another woman.
When the woman turned around she looked in her mid 30's with brown hair a little longer then mine and blue eyes. She's 5'8 and is nicely build for her age.
"Hi Dr. Mikealson I'm Dr. Hale. It's nice to meet you." She smiled holding out her hand.
"You too." I smiled shaking her hand.
"Like Tori explained you will be doing rounds with me and then you will be on your own from there. Also I know you only work 3 days a week for personal reasons and I myself also only work 3 days a week for my personal reasons. I work Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays where you Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but is always on call for some kind of emergency." Dr. Hale smiles and explained.
"Yes I am." I smiled.
"Great follow me. We will have one new Doctor with us, he worked in London last year as a doctor but moved here a week ago." Dr. Hale explained just when Nathan came in.
"Jasmine." He greeted.
"Nathan." I greeted back.
"Great you guys have met. Now follow me." Dr. Hale smiled and walked out of her office. With us following her.
''Hi I'm Dean. Nathan's PA.'' A guy with blonde hair, blue eyes and cute glasses greeted. I have to say he is quite cute and he looks 20 and is about 6'1.
''Right let's get started.'' Dr. Hale began.
The morning was spend with us following Dr. Hale and helping her doing her rounds. Also she explained alot of things and said after lunch we'll be on our own.
Currently it's our lunch now. Me, Tori, Nathan and Dean was walking in the cafeteria thing and we bought our food. I bought a bacon burger with fries and a coke. Tori got a chicken burger with fries and a sprite. Nathan also got a bacon burger with fries and a coke and Dean got two slices of pizza with fries and a sprite.
''I'm starving.'' Dean groaned.
''Yeah.'' We all agreed. And started eating.
"U-uh excuse me Dr. Mikealson?" A young male intern nurse probably 18 or 19 asks.
"Hi. How can I help?" I ask politely.
"You went to Yale right? And graduated at the top of your year also the best ever." He asked amazed.
"Yes that's me." I smiled at him.
"It's such an honour. Do you mind if me and a few interns tag along with you, please?" He asked pointing back to a group of 2 guys and 2 girls.
"Sure. But it's my first day so I don't think anything will happen." I explained.
"Oh my god. Thank you so much." He smiled and went back to his table.
"Did that just happen?" Nathan asked amused.
"Yeah it just did. You totally have a fan group." Tori laughed.
"Yeah and you-" Nathan begins but gets cut of my the door being thrown open and a nervous looking nurse.
"Please we need a doctor!" She shouts and looks around.
"Okay calm down. And show me the way." I said getting up with Tori, Nathan, Dean and the fan group. The nurse nodded and started walking beside me.
"I don't know what's wrong with him. He came in with a stomach ache and next thing I know he's coughing blood." The nurse explained.
"Did you look at his body for any wounds or bruises?" I ask when we got outside the room,the nurse shook her head no. I grabbed some gloves and put them on. I walk in to the room seeing a guy in his mid 20's with black hair and green eyes.
"Hi I'm Doctor Mikealson. Can you sit up?" I asked him.
"I'm Toby, and no I can't." He breathed out in a weak voice.
"Okay Toby, lay down and pick up you shirt." I demanded and helped him lay back. He picked up his shirt and damn I have to say he has a nice body. Except the part that is bruised in black, blue and purple.
"Did you get in a fight?" I asked him.
"Y-yes." He answered sheepishly.
"When?" I asked.
"Two weeks ago. Why?" He asked.
"Okay I need everyone quiet." I demanded and everyone turned silent. I grabbed my stethoscope and held it on his heart. The beat was normal. I pushed it down onto his liver and I heard it beat irregular.
"Does it hurt when I touch here?" I asked when I puched softly down on his liver. He groaned out in pain.
"Okay he needs to go to the OR immediately. He's liver is damaged and it's bleeding out and affecting his lungs. Now!" I yelled. The nurses around me nodded and the rest made way for them.
"Listen Toby, just relax you will be fine. Just take deep breaths." I instructed him. He nodded and smiled.
"Let's go." The nurse said and took him to the OR.
"Thanks Dr. Mikealson." The nurse smiled and walked out with Toby and the other nurses.
I took off the gloves and threw them away. I fixed my stethoscope around my neck and when I looked up everyone including Dr. Hale stared at me in shock and awe.
"Wow. That was amazing." Tori breathed out.
"How did you do that?" Dean asked.
"It was beating irregular and his breathing also." I explained.
"Congratulations you just saved your first patient." Dr. Hale smiled and squeezed my shoulder.
"He will be saved when he comes out of the OR." I smiled and started walking out towards the OR.
When I got there Tori, Dean, Nathan and the fan group was behind me. I was standing behind glass while they operated on Toby. It went like that for at least 3 hours until the same nurse looked up and gave me a thumbs up and a smile. I nodded and walked out.
''You saved him." Nathan smiled from beside me.
"Yeah I did." I smiled back.
The rest of the day went by smoothly with a few coffees and me seeing people with either allergies or the flu in the clinic. Everyone has to do clinic duty for an hour or two each day. When my shift was done I went to my locker and got my stuff then I clocked out.
"See you tomorrow." Tori waved at me.
"See you." I smiled and waved back.
I walked to the parking lot and walked to my car. Today was busy and amazing. I can't believe I actually saved my first patient.
I drove home. Wow I actually called it home. Anyway I drove to the gang house and when I parked I heard gun shots. When I ran in I saw a guy pointing a gun at Carter and a bleeding Cole holding his stomach on the floor.
"I will kill you." The voice spoke.
"Can I help?" I ask. Carter caught my eye and he almost looked relieved but alarmed.
"Who are you?" The voice asks eyeing me up and down.
"His ex and you?" I asked.
"James." He shook my hand.
"Why are you gonna kill them?" I asked.
"He killed my gang, I'm here for revenge. And you?" James asked.
"He cheated on me with a slut." I shrugged.
"Who would cheat on you? You're sexy AF." He smirkes moving closer to me.
"Apparently him." I fake glared at Carter.
"Listen girlie when I'm done here we can move to the top floor and use a bedroom." He smirked.
"Sure." I smirked back. He came forward and put his gun down. Just then I grabbed my gun and shot him in the stomach.
"I'm not a fucking slut you asshole." I screamed and kicked him. I shook my head and when he looked up from the ground I swinged my right fist and knocked him out.
"Fucking ass." I mumbled under my breath.
