Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Click clack click clack

The sound of Jacob's shoes hitting the pavement echoed from below him as he walked up to a tall and rather dreary looking building. He stopped for a minute, gazing up at the place before heading through the tinted rotating door.

Once he was through, he headed over to the receptionist, who greeted him with a nod and a wave of her hand. The gesture allowed him to continue through the second set of doors.

He simply nodded back and then pushed his way through the second set of doors and walked inside, his shoes clicking against the marble tile as he entered the lobby.

The place was decorated rather nicely in contrast to the dreary look it had on the outside. Chandeliers scattered the tall ceiling, brightening the room. Potted plants and paintings were placed neatly and symmetrically down each hallway. The walls were lined with decorative wallpaper that reached the ceiling before cutting off. The lobby had white and red sofas strategically placed in a half-circle shape around a coffee table.

However, this isn't a normal office building. It's an assassins building, run by a very powerful mafia gang. Of course, the building had to cover this factor up, so they created tricks and techniques to avoid being caught. The main one that usually keeps people from investigating is the fact that it looks like a regular office building. Newcoming assassins often believe they entered the wrong place.

However, Jacob has been here many times, being one of the top assassins there. He had been recently called up to take on an assignment that was to be classified until he and his boss were in the solitude of the boss's office.

He headed down one of the hallways and took a few twists and turns before making it to the office. He carefully opened the door, walking inside. He noticed that his boss wasn't there yet, so he sat down in one of the black leather chairs and waited for the boss to arrive.

After a few moments, Jacob heard the door click open. He shifted his attention over to the door, where his boss Nightmare, a suitable nickname for the boss, stood.

"Sorry I was a little late, I had some things to take care of." Nightmare said in a rather serious tone, emphasizing the word 'things'. Jacob knew not to question it further.

"Here's your assignment." Nightmare continued, passing Jacob a folder with information on his target, Issac.

"I want you to hunt him down and kill him. He won't be an easy target to hunt down and kill. Do you think you can do this for me?" Nightmare asked. Being the mafia boss, Nightmare has a lot on his mind, so he usually trusts Jacob with most of his assignments nowadays.

Jacob simply nodded in response. He opened up the folder looking at all the details. It contained Issac's age, address, and a little bit of extra info on him. He looked over at the picture, memorizing his features. He had raven black hair with ocean blue eyes. He had to admit the guy looked rather attractive, but Jacob wasn't gay, he was just sharing his opinion on what the guy looks like. He noticed that in the picture there was a white bandana that Issac wore on his forehead. He thought it was rather strange so he looked at the extra details and noticed that Issac tended to always wear the bandanna, no matter what.

Jacob noted that in case Issac tried to run away and disguise himself. He then closed the file and looked back up at Nightmare.

"Alright. Is this all the information you have on him? You know since the last few files left out a few details." He stated, making sure that he knew everything he could know about Issac.

"Yes, I am sure this is all the information we have on him. I know it's not a lot but, it's all I could get." Nightmare stated. "Call me if you need anything else or back-up if something happens."

Nightmare then smiled, "good luck." He said before exiting his office, leaving Jacob alone in the room with nothing but his thoughts and the folder.

Jacob took one last glance at the folder before walking out of the room. He walked back towards his house, thinking about ways he should go about this assassination.
