Later that day at training hall. The student of classroom D were present and waiting for Miss Wade to arrive... Some of them were feeling sleepy and tired because of the long day activities that has taken place that day and besides the big festival is two days away.
"Does she always have to come late." Sandy ranted "She's making me lose my sleep.... And that is bad for my manly attitude."
"Seems you are classifying yourself as a man aren't you?" Jayden asked.
"Of course I am a man... Besides I've gat beards already." Sandy said rubbing his beardless jaws
"Like seriously...." Jayden's expression was of boredom. Eyes closed halfway and the only thing seen is the white pupil. "I can't find any trace of it."
"They are not on my jaws idiot." Sandy yelled
"Ok then... Where are they?" Jayden asked lifting his eyelids and arm crossed.
"They are underneath." Sandy grabbed his dick
"Wow... Guess they is going to be one hell of a forest underneath." Ned added
"Say what....." Sandy yelled
"Boys began to grow beards at the age of 15.. it's above." Ned said adjusting his specks. "Which equivalently mean...."
"Mean that I will slap off the algorithm of your intelligence." Sandy said lifting his left eyelid
Silence
"There is no such words like that okay..." Ned adjust his specks. "The brain has no algorithm."
"Who cares." Sandy laughed.
Everyone laughed
"Everyone cares knucklehead." Ned added "They are laughing at you."
"Say that one last time and I will....." Sandy spoke
"Do nothing." Freda said. With the eyes of a lion.
Silence
"We will handle this later." Sandy whispered "Nerd."
"Like I said before... It's Ned and not nerd." Ned barked.
"Seems you guys are having fun." Miss Wade said, making an entry that shocked everyone.
Now that was an entry she made there, one that can't be expected... She came down the hall, head towards the table and sat down. Placed a file on the table, looked at the students and smiled.. That smile again, that can't be understood because it seem to contain a lot of expressions on it.
The silence in the hall is becoming uneasy for everyone as they kept staring at Miss Wade who was going through the file.. The silence is getting out of hand, and someone has to break the silence here but the question is who is it going to be. Neil looked around and saw everyone wasn't even moving an inch, are they under a trance or what.... Guess he has to do the favour by breaking the silence, because the longer they stay here; the worse the matter.
"Why are we summoned here ma'am?." Delia asked breaking the silence
"She just destroyed my dynamic entry." Neil thought. "Guess am not the only one with guts."
"Now that you are all here.." She spoke... finally. "There is a rumor around the school and am sure you all have heard of it."
"Yes ma'am." They chorused
"Well the rumor is true... A student has been kidnapped." She spoke and indistinguishable whisper arose amongst them.
"And why does this have to do with us?" Reece asked. "Ma'am.."
"Well..... That is a good question." She stood up from her chair and walked towards a board "We are going to rescue him from his captive."
Silence.... The only thing heard was the chipping of the crickets... Complete total silence, Neil never thought of this "going on a rescue mission." Is not his kind of thing.
"Eh..." They all chorused
"What do mean ma'am." Ned asked shakily
"We are going to rescue the missing student." she said
"Does the principal knows about this?." Delia asked
Silence
Miss Wade looked away towards the desk again, thinking on what to say next.. She turned and looks at the kids and smiled again. That seem to comfort the students a bit but they were still tensed because they have known her for a while now that she always smile.
"He doesn't.. But now am taking the risk, by sending you out there." She said and walked towards the desk again.
"But why should we help out in this..." Zoe proposed "He's not in our class."
"Indeed... But do you know what I want for you." Miss Wade spoke. "You want to become strong right? This is the process of it... You must be ready to face anything in life. Because one day you will be needed to help your family."
"But we don't stand a chance." Glen said.
"and we can't last a fight." Lyn agreed
"I know... But did you all know that I was a class D student like you..." Miss Wade spoke. "And we all started like this... And am giving you the same opportunity to see what life is out there."
"I still don't see the reason why we have to do this?." Cheryl said
"Have you ever felt helpless before?" Neil finally spoke catching everyone's attention. "When you know you have the powers of facing anything that comes your way but out of fear. You lose courage to face what's in front of you and become helpless."
There was murmuring amongst the student
"I have been there and I know what it feels like to be helpless... But I vowed to myself..." Neil continued bowing his head.
He remembered the incident of which he achieved his true powers, he remembered how helpless he felt in front of the assassins and how his father begged not for himself but for Neil's life... And those same memories cause him pains and agony, they make him clenched his fist everyday. He wants to become strong not for his benefit but for the ones he loves so he would protect them during the time of need and also to readily provide assistance when needed by those close to him, and that has become his motive ever since that incident and the main reason he came to Pleiad academy in the first place.
"I don't want to feel like that again... If this is going to be my new training?" He turned and looked at Miss Wade "Am in."
She smiled.
"Me too... You are not going anywhere without your big bro." Sandy yelled.
"Am in too." Rory moved towards Neil.
"I don't know about you guys... But I wanna test my capability." Clint bounced forward with a flower in his fingertips.
"I guess you will be needing a brainiac like me there too." Ned stepped forward.
Silence. Just then th whole class began to volunteer, great... Just great... Now they are all in, Neil felt no greater joy when he had team mates, after a long while he has finally had a team.
"Very well then.. You all are now my Elite team and I shall call you Category D.... Neil... Rory.. Clint... Ned..." She turned towards Sandy. "And Sandy... You five are the ones i want to take care of this mess at hand."
"That doesn't have a nice ring to it you know." Sandy crossed arm as he stared at Miss wade lifting an eyelid.
"Dude allow her finish okay." Ned spoke
"Like I care." Sandy rolled his eyes, tinted his head to the side.
"Hmmmm.... As for the rest of you. Know that you are all in this together and what affects one affects all. You can still be useful in anyway." Miss Wade finished.
Little by little they all dispatched leaving the five of them behind who were waiting for their first assignment... They are looking bold and have the airs of hero's. Hope they could manage that when they got there and not becoming a spineless chicken when they encounter the enemies.
"What are we up against." Ned asked
"It's a rescue mission.." Miss Wade "And you are going to rescue Kai Kang."
"Pleas don't tell me." Ned said knowing who the fella was.
"You know him." Sandy asked.
"He's the son of the spoilt brat Sai Kang who was born with a silver spoon... An arrogant one too." Ned concluded. "Guess Kai got kidnapped by his fathers rivals or enemies."
"Guess his father is a trouble maker." Neil asked
"A big one... He gives problem everywhere he goes and anyone he meets. And he earned the tittle of The number one trouble-making elder of the country."
"I have heard that name once." Rory said.
"But the question is how do we find him?" Sandy asked everyone
"That is where you come in Rory." Miss Wade said.
After watching the boys for a while as they bombard the issue, she had missed this.. All of it brought back memories of when she was also at the same stage with them. Then they were a pretty good team.
"Me...?" Rory asked looking shock "But why me?"
"I read through all of your files and i know what you're all capable off.. That's why I chose you five for the first mission."
Miss Wade walked to her chair and sat.
"I still don't understand why I am to play a part in this now? How am I going to find someone? I don't even know where to start?" Rory asked again.
"Use your seismic signal powers to track him." She said
"You have a seismic powers too?" Neil asked
"Yeah I do but I'd always had a problem with it." Rory sadly stated
"Why would you say that." Neil asked
"It's best I don't say..." Rory sadly said
"He will undergo through a brain trauma each time he seismics." Ned added.
Silence
"We had to give it a try.... What do you guys think." Ned broke the silence "Neil you are a psychic too right?."
Neil nodded.
"You will help contain his thinking while he does his thing." Ned completed
"Are you sure that would work?." Clint asked with the hint of concern.
"It will... In theory." Ned sadly said
"Eh....." They chorused.
"Miss Wade....." Rory turned towards her.
She had been watching the whole time, she also was lost in thought knowing what would go out stake if this should fail. It will cause Rory a brain damage and might lead to a year of brain surgery. And who knows what will happen to Neil if it goes wrong, it might lead to madness and would lead to a disaster. Now this is a hard choice to make not as the new hidden elite team leader but also as the class tutor, to her these kids were like her own and won't allow anything bad to happen to them because of another student who might not even know the risks taken by the kids. Now what will she do now that every thing is getting awkward and hard decisions to make in this situation.
"Miss Wade..." Neil called bringing her back to reality
"Huh.." She answered
"What do we do?" Neil asked "Should we give it a try?"
She placed her finger on her jaw in deep thought, it seems she is going to give them an advice on this.
"Well...." She finally spoke
"There's no harm in trying." Rory said "besides we don't have more time to waste."
"Ned.." Neil turned towards Ned "What will happen to is if this goes wrong?."
"Well... I guess you will be going through cyclothymic disorder....."
"Dude.." Neil stopped Ned. "English."
"That will be bipolar." Ned finished.
Neil swallowed, noticing that his saliva has gone dry. Hearing the word madness sent a chill down his spine...
"Guess we have to try then." Rory said
"Easily said than done." Sandy yelled "My friend will go naught if this goes wrong."
"And i will undergo a year of brain surgery." Rory said. "And that means I won't be able to difference between all my senses... Including my love sense..."
"Guys..." Neil looked at them.. "We have no other choice.... There's no harm in trying."
