I know that I should not have left her the way that I did. I should not have let her leave here so mad.
So the moment I hear her screeching out the driveway, I immediately make my way to the kitchen and pour myself a double shot of whiskey and throw it to the back of my throat. With my second glass, I sit down and sip on it while I try to calm my racing heart. It is not long and mom phones me, if she is coming with an I told you so then she is at the wrong place.
"Are you okay? Stupid question. Tell me what I can do?"
"Don't try to feel sorry for me."
"Not my intention, this is all pretty messed up."
"It is not messed up, it is fucked up."
"So what are you going to do now?"
"I don't know, this should have never been this way."
"I am sorry Sebastian, I don't really know what else to say. But I think you must go see Lucy now that everything is out in the open."
"I think I might just do that."
