Chapter 35 - NIGHTMARE CHILDREN

𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣'𝙨 𝙋𝙊𝙑:

When I received a call from an unknown Russian number, I was so excited. I attended the call immediately. " My child, how are you?" I asked.

"Save your breath! I'm not here for a reunion. I'm doing it for Znakomstvo. He needs your support. "

I couldn't believe that I'm talking to my son Hector. His voice didn't have any empathy. "You are making a mistake by siding with Znakomstvo. He is very dangerous and you can't trust him! After you do his work, he is going to kill you. "

Hector started snickering. " Why do you care about my life? You disowned me! You abandoned me when I needed you the most."

I never expected this from him. I thought if I let him off for a while then he would learn his lesson. But he still hasn't changed.

" Did you forget what you did? You shot Hannah! She could have died. But I forgive you for what you did. Just come back to Alaska." 

" Seriously, Dad? Are you seriously siding with that slut, Hannah? She is the reason why our mission failed in the first place. She is more interested in sucking Liam's dick than…."

" Stop it, Hector! Stop talking about your sister like that. Hannah is a pure and innocent girl. Liam is manipulating her for his advantage and we need to save her from him."

" I think you are getting dumber day by day. Liam doesn't even have to manipulate Hannah. Your daughter likes being his escort. After all that I have done for your business, you abandon me for a slut?" 

He is just not understanding my point. I think I should reveal the truth now. It might change his mind. It is life or death now. There is no gain in hiding the truth anymore. 

" Listen, Hector, there is something you need to know. One billion dollars worth of assets is frozen right now. And it belongs to you and Hannah. "

" You are just kidding now, aren't you?" he said.

" I'm telling the truth. It's your mother's property. According to her will, it goes to you and Hannah. Liam knows this. That's why he is manipulating Hannah in the name of love."

He was quiet for a minute. Maybe he has a hard time processing it all. " I don't need money. I just want Liam dead. "

" My child, we can take down Liam together and save Hannah. Just come home."

" No….. I'm going to kill Hannah. She doesn't deserve to be alive. She is the reason why I lost an eye. "

I think I'm just hallucinating this. " Is your vengeance more important than one billion dollars?" 

" Yes, there are things which are more important than money and I don't expect you to understand it. I already lost the most important thing. "

I was out of words now. Why is he acting like a Romeo? " Look my child, if this is about Natasha, then I'll get you dozens of girls like her…"

" Shut up! Nobody can take her place in my life. I'm asking you one last time. Are you supporting Znakomstvo or not?" 

" Yes, my child. I'll have to support Znakomstvo. For the sake of old times. But I'll not let you harm Hannah. "

" We'll see about that," he said and hung up the call.

No. This can't be Hector. This is not my ambitious son. He is now a different person.

" Is everything alright, Dad?" asked Hugo. I had no idea when he entered my room. I was too dazed to even notice that.

" No, it's not. One billion dollars worth of assets are frozen and my nightmare children aren't cooperating with me. They both are stubborn just like their miserable mother."

" Don't worry about that Dad. I'll talk to Henry about it and we will take care of the crisis. Please don't stress yourself with this," he said and went away.

It was comforting to know that at least I have two sons who listen to me. Seriously, why can't they both be flexible like Hugo and Henry? 

My life's biggest mistake was Sabrina and she is still haunting me in the form of these two nightmare children. That woman fucked me up completely. And I fell right in her trap.

I fell for her beauty and upscale background like a stupid. I loved her so much. I married her and Hector was born. We were one perfect family. But Sabrina had to become the goddess of Justice. She hated that I was doing illegal business. 

So she sided with the FBI and betrayed me. She almost ended my business and I had to run away from the Alaskan government for five years.

How can I forgive Sabrina after what she did? She deserved to die. But I couldn't kill her immediately as she was pregnant with Hannah. I had to wait until Hannah was born and I shot her right in the heart. 

It was very satisfying. She broke my heart and I broke hers. After that, I gave up Hannah and Hector to the Millers and I ran away to my safe house in Brazil. I supported the Millers financially even when I was in the run. 

Why did I do all of this? For the fucking one billion dollars which were on that nightmare children's name!

But now, those two are rebelling against me. Is this what I deserve? Should I have to carry the curse of Sabrina forever in my life?

I expected this from Hannah. She is just like Sabrina in appearance. Every time I see her, my heart almost stops in fear. But Hector was different in the past. He was ambitious just like me. But now, he is whining over a girl like Romeo.

All of this happened because of that Liam fucking Eaton. He is the reason for my current situation. He made Hannah an escort and Hector into a lunatic. 

He knew about Hannah's inheritance. His Drug Empire is crumbling and he needed a source of cash. That's why he is manipulating Hannah. 

But I must appreciate him for his strategy. I wish Liam Eaton was my son. With his cunningness and my experience, we both could have ruled the underworld!
