Aria fell to the floor in horror. She was hoping to spare Kathalene's life, but thanks to her Sergeant her best friend in her childhood was gone.
The Nazi soldiers stared at Aria. They were all shocked by Aria's tears.
Aria couldn't hold back her tears anymore. They rolled down her face and made a puddle on the ground. Aria charged back to her camp which was close by. Carrying Kathalene's twin pistols she got through the gate and landed in Winston's arms.
"Woah woah woah, what's wrong." Winston said in the calm fatherly way.
"They killed her, they killed her!" Aria cried. All the painful memories of fighting for the Nazi's as the Black Scarlet were returning. "Winston, they killed her!"
"It's ok, Aria listen, she was a criminal." Winston said.
"And what, she deserved it?" Aria snapped.
Jax and the team arrived.
Too embarrassed to say anything, Aria ran off to her tent. She turned to find Jax trailing behind her. "what do you want?"
Jax stopped. "What's gotten into you."
Aria paused, "First of all, to most of the world I'm known as Silvia McCoy, a murderer, Kathalene was killed in front of my eyes, I've lost so many friends and family during this war, Kathalene, Kingston-"
"Kingston was a jerk." Jax said, cutting Aria off.
"I wasn't finished." Aria said softly. "And then Kelvin, the most heartbreaking thing that's happened this entire war."
"You still have me." Jax said.
"If this was a movie, you're just there for comedic relief." Aria replied.
Jax was taken aback, "Well you'd be a great main character, you carry the plot and without you, I wouldn't know where I would be."
Aria suddenly realized that Jax was setting something up, if it was what she was thinking it was, it was probably the right time.
"Listen Aria, I love you, nothing can stop that." Jax said.
Yeah, he is definitely doing it. Aria thought
"I want you to be happy, and I've been there for almost every major event there has been for you, your first mission, Kelvin's death."
"You killed Kelvin." Aria said half joking half serious.
"Anyways, I'm ready for that next step." Jax said. He got down on one knee.
Oh shoot, he's going to ask. Aria thought, Why now?
"Will you marry-"
"No." Aria said.
Jax stared blankly at her. "Was it that obvious?"
"Yes, it was." Aria said. She walked away leaving Jax there with soldiers staring at him.
Jax got up and walked off.
"Jax, I'm kidding!" Aria called.
Jax's face lit up as Aria hugged him.
"Thanks for that speech, I needed it." Aria said kissing him on the cheek.
"I rehearsed that in front of the mirror today." Jax laughed.
Aria and Jax embraced as soldiers began to clap.
Aria was incredibly happy. She was getting married.
