Chapter 1 - Twist of fate

Stars sparkled as I looked down this soaring building. Thoughts flooded my mind. Was this really what I wanted? In an instant I felt myself being pushed down.

The ground drew closer, everything became cold and dusky. Sealing my eyes tight, I waited for my life to end. This was other horrible decision.

As I laid in my slumber, I could hear soft melodious whispers call out my name. The aroma of roses was the only scent I could sense.

I was awakened by water droplets sprinkling on my face. I was no longer in the city, instead I was in a forest that was rather perplexing. Although it seemed ordinary something about it petrified me.

Anxiously, I got up and ventured into this mysterious forest. Not so far away I spotted a crystal-clear lake that drew my attention. I gazed into it to find something baffling.

My curly ginger hair was replaced by long hazel hair and my emerald eyes were now amber. I had cat ears, a tail and a rather feminine face and body. For a moment I was too astound to move.

As I got up, I felt a sharp blade by my throat. "Don't you dare think about moving! "Growled the voice. I felt my body blazing as the blade was just inches away from me.

"Katsu stop! "another voice howled. I felt the blade distancing away from me. Immediately I glanced at these astonishingly bizarre people. Both who looked very unusual.

The one called Katsu had short silver hair, pointed grey ears, azure eyes and golden skin. She wore a silver creed hood and tunic, a golden sash with several belts, a vambrace on her right arm.

Her companion had amber eyes, honey blonde hair, blonde lion ears and bronze skin. He wore scarlet knee breeches, a white tunic, a large obsidian cloak with several rings. As I looked closer, I noticed a small scar by his left eye.

"Sorry about her! " He said holding out his hand "She's just really cautious...". I pulled myself up with his help but I felt my legs going numb.

Katsu caught me in her arms which made me feel rather calm than anxious. "Let's go..." She muffled carrying me while her companion chuckled. My eyes were drowsy. I felt myself slowly fading away. I felt so consumed by everything that I passed out.

Awakened by the bird chirping, I found myself in a small room. I gazed up to find ravishing eyes locked on me. On top of me laid a rather unusual person. He had one jade eye and another azure eye, his long curly chestnut hair almost covered his eyes and he had the rosiest lips. He wore nothing but an oversized jacket and shorts

He drew closer to me; I could feel his eyes staring right through my soul. I was pinned on the bed, he only drew closer.

"You smell nice..." He whispered before falling asleep on top of me.

"Kyo get off of her!" Howled a voice.

"Just a few more minutes Taichi..."Mumbled the person named Kyo.

Katsu's companion, Taichi, forcefully pulled Kyo off of me. Kyo was not at all amused but he continued to sleep on the floor. Taichi sighed and turned back to me.

"I'm so sorry about Katsu and Kyo! They are quite a handful..."

Smiling I assured him I was alright and there was nothing to worry about but he didn't seem to believe me.

"So, what's someone like you doing out here in these parts of Serenity Forest?"

I wasn't sure what to say next as I didn't know if these people were trustworthy. What was I supposed to say next?
