Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

That day came too. Out of excitement, the little bird could not sleep and woke up its mother when the first ray of sunlight illuminated the canopy of their tree. She couldn't blame him, her excitement when she was little was the same as his. You only learn to fly once. She grabbed her son and lowered him on the largest branch. She soar towards the sky and spread her already healthy wings. The son silently watched her flawless performance in the air. He didn't take his eyes off his mother for a second, but he wasn't the only one. All the birds on the tree loved to watch her movements. She was specific, she stood out from everyone else, she was her own. No one could compare to her. The little bird gathered his friends and told everyone, "Look, that's my mom over there." He was proud of her.

Now, it was his turn. His mother slowly and patiently showed him what to do. He spread his tiny wings and prepared to fly, but boom, before he could understand what had happened, he found himself on the ground. He was immediately sad that he could not fly like his mother. Sad that he can't fly at all, but she explained to him how everything takes time, how nothing in life can happen right away without a little effort, learning and will.

They stayed that day until evening and the little bird flew a little higher with each new attempt. There was no way he was going to give up. He did not want his dearest person in his life to see him as someone who surrendered before the first obstacle on the way. By the end of the day he had succeeded, soaring into the sky! He needed the last atom of strength for that, but he was happy that he finally reached heaven, not alone, but with his mother.
