After classes, Toma pestered me about going on a date in an amusement park. I badly wanted to decline the idea since I wanted to rest for a while but he was very forceful and annoying.
"Geez, you're like an old man! What the hell do you exercise for if you can't keep up with me?"
"Huh?!" It was also my fault for letting him provoke me too easily.
So now we ended up walking and looking for rides we'll be getting on. "Oh, Yuji! What about that rollercoaster? It looks cool!"
"No way!" The rollercoster looked threatening that people might die from that kind of rides. Its track is all twisted and shrewd, people who rides those are complete idiots.
Toma suddenly grabs my hand and drags me away. "Waaah! What about that one? Think you can handle that?"
"Ugh." He showed me the tower drop, another extreme ride that can make you throw up your lunch and breakfast. "No."
"Hmmm! You're so boring!" He said frowning.
"I guess you can ride those without me." I told him.
His frown got even bigger. "But I wanna ride with you!"
"You can ride without me."
"But…" he made a teary face and turns his back on me. "…what a downer." I heard him whisper to himself. I sighed and patted his back.
"Let's just do this next time, okay?"
"Hnng! Why won't you ride with me?!" He shakes my shoulder like a bratty kid.
"Tsk, didn't I told you earlier? My back is still aching from the all nighter we pulled last time. So it's pretty much your fault that I'm like this." He scratches his head, having an obvious thoughts of regrets written on his face.
"Err, fine. Let's just go again next time. Promise me that, okay?" He said pouting.
I pinched his lips and gave him a half smile. "Sure. Though I think we can get on one ride before we leave this place, then we can go out for dinner."
"Really?!" His eyes sparkled in excitement. He can really act so childish most of the time.
"Yeah, we can ride that one." I pointed at the ferris wheel.
We got in line for the ferris wheel right after I told him we can go there. The line was long, but we chatted while waiting for our turn. And we were having too much fun talking that we didn't realize that it's already our turn to buy the ticket.
"I hope this was worth it for you." It was a very expensive ride.
"Of course it is, this is a memory that I'll engrave in my head forever hehe."
"Oh really? There were better moments than this though." I can't believe this guy is such a clichè. I guess he wanted to do some romantic stuff he saw on tv. "Better moments than this? I can't possibly think of anything better than riding the ferris wheel on the sunset with you, isn't that the most romantic?" Ugh, just like what I've thought! What a clichè.
"Maybe for you, but not for me."
"And what exactly are these moments that can be better than this?"
"Probably those moments in bed." I laughed. And I never thought I'd see him embarassed hearing that from me. As we got inside the ferris wheel, we enjoyed our time and took lots of pictures for his request.
