Toma ran as fast as he could when he got off the bus. He could feel his heart racing fast within his chest, and he wasn't sure if he'll get disappointed with his expectations or not. All he wanted at the moment is to see Yuji.
When he made it to the front door of their room, he started hesitating to open it. A bunch of questions began to pop in his mind. 'What if he says I'm disgusting? What if he says he doesn't want to be my bestfriend anymore? What if he wants me to move out of the room?'
He breathed deeply as he grabbed onto the door knob tightly. A bitter smile appeared on his face as he thought, 'rejected or not, there's really nothing to lose.'
And as the door opens, he finds Yuji sitting on their couch and was thinking deeply. When he noticed Toma opened the door, his eyes widens, looking like he's still not prepared to face him either.
It got awkward real fast when the two just froze and stare at each other.
'Come on, say something!' Toma though to himself.
'Damn, why won't you freaking say something here!?' Yuji was already panicking at the back of his head.
And there, Toma decided to say the first words. "H-Hey… so, i-is there something you wanted to tell me?"
Yuji stood up from his seat and faced Toma. He opens his mouth, yet no words were coming out. Yuji was still afraid, but feels the need to confess what he feels. His hands turns into fists, and he gathered up all the courage he had within himself.
As he convinced himself to speak up, he kept stuttering while telling Toma everything he wanted to say to him. "I… I-I'm sorry about b-before. I was really scared of w-what people would think and how they'll j-judge me if I liked a guy, and I d-don't want you getting disgusted of me either…"
"Yuji…" Toma's jaw dropped as Yuji started confessing back to him.
"I really liked you ever since, and I tried to deny it whenever I start to feel weird around you because… I want to keep being friends with you. And when you confessed to me the other night, I got more scared because I was more afraid of what other people would think, and it made me reject you so h-harshly." Tears started rolling down on his cheeks, then he continues to speak. "And while you were away, I was thinking that… I can't bear the thought of you forever gone in my life."
'I've always liked you ever since too!' Toma wanted to admit that badly as he listened to Yuji's confession. He started to tear up, but he ran to Yuji to hug him as tight as he can. "I can't bear that either." Toma muttered.
"I don't want to lose you, Toma." Yuji started to cry.
"You should stop crying, you don't have to worry about losing anything. I'll always be right by your side." Toma assured as he had Yuji crying in his arms. He could only smile and feel like the most happiest guy in the world, having the right person by his side.
