The shadow faded away as mysteriously as he appeared, seemingly vanishing from existence on this plane of existence, and reappearing once more in a dark room, where 12 individuals were seated. The seated figures were blurry, their facial features changing at every given moment. The shadow figure came behind one of the figures and melded into him. The figure paused for a moment and began stating simply, "The plan is in progress."
The twelve individuals were the first lucky or strongest persons that had made use of inherent loopholes in the world to descend and influence the main timeline. As there were only 12 slots, they naturally guarded their territory, excluding any outside interference. They came from numerous backgrounds; some were outsiders of the plane, others were merely from different timelines, and some were even native to the main timeline. They all banded together for their common goal of becoming deities.
