Everyone was shook to the core. Skylar had driven Jasper to tears because he was uncomfortable and he had cried in front of his friends.
How the heck did they even get together? Did Jasper forgive her? Did she do something to him and force him to be in a relationship with her? This is so confusing.
They strode across the hall like celebrities. Skylar had a smirk on her face while Jasper fey cold as Antarctica. They walked past Anastasia without even sparing a glance at her, and people felt it was insulting to her.
It was a relief that everyone stopped staring at her like creeps but can someone tell her why everyone looks so offended? What is happening?
Scarlett made a face when they walked past her. She rolled her eyes and strode towards Anastasia. "Hey, you okay?"
"Nope, everyone was staring at me like a creep and I felt I'll start crying or something. Good thing this couple took the attention to them."
"Oh." Anastasia saw the disappointment on Scarlett's face. "Is the guy your high-school crush?"
"What? No! We were kinda friends. He was a very nice guy. Had a cute, bubbly personality, made everyone happy, and the girl. She always made him uncomfortable."
"Let me guess, she was a bully?"
Scarlett nodded. "Yes, she always used to target me because I was 'stealing' him according to her. Everyone hated her, she was always full of herself.
"Once the parents were called because he nearly cried since she was making him uncomfortable. It's weird that they are together."
"Why didn't you tell me? I would've disciplined her ass."
She chuckled. "I know."
The rest of the party felt so awkward. Scarlett had brought a CEO and important figure, Jasper and Skylar were a couple. Now what? Aliens are real?
The door once again and everyone rolled their eyes. Manchu and Michael did an extra entrance, just like in the old days. What did you expect? Extra asses.
Scarlett gasped, and suddenly her face turned red. You couldn't see her face red, but her eyes looked very mad. These people better survive her anger!
"You two! Come here so I can give you a piece of my mind!" Scarlett suddenly yelled, gathering attention.
Michael gulped. He nervously laughed. "Scarlett, how are you?"
"I've been dying a few months ago and I've never been better. Why didn't you tell me you both got married?"
"Uhh, I'm sorry?"
That answer sparked a flame inside her. She was about to attack, but Anastasia held her back. "Whoa, girl! Calm down."
That calmed her down, and the couple approached them but maintained six feet distance. A waiter passed by them with a tray full of drinks, and wordlessly they took a drink each.
Scarlett started. "When did you both get married?"
"Uhhhhhh in January?"
"Show me your rings." Eh? Okay?
Both of them raised their left hand and their rings shone under the light. There were three small diamonds on it, touching each other. It was simple, yet pretty.
"So," Scarlett coughed and looked away. "Who tops?"
Anastasia, Manchu, and Michael choked on their drinks. She smacked Scarlett on the back of her head.
"Stop asking those kinds of questions!" The couple sighed in relief. "It's clear that your tall friend is the one who tops!"
Both of them coughed and blushed in embarrassment. Scarlett stared at them with a perverted smile and Anastasia thought the floor looked good.
"I'm sorry."
"Eh?" Everyone stared at Anastasia in confusion.
"I shouldn't have said that, hope you can forgive me."
Both of them smiled. "It's okay, our parents asked that once."
A glass clinked, and the couple sighed in relief. "Time for dinner, everyone!"
There was a long table or tables combined and dished were served for vegans, vegetarians, and non-vegetarians. Ailey asked everyone their preferences so that nobody is left out hungry.
Well, at least she's considerate.
Michael and Manchu sat on the opposite side while Scarlett and Anastasia had to sit along with Skylar and Jasper. Ugh!
Everyone was self-serving and was talking to each other or doing something else.
Scarlett was talking to a girl in front of her and she was sure the girl on her right side was throwing dirty looks at her.
She reached for the chicken breast dish in front of her and her hand touched Skylar's.
She made a face, and Scarlett sweetly smiled. She slapped her hands away and took the dish for herself. She slid it over to Skylar when she was done with it.
Scarlett didn't bother to observe the faces made by her side and kept shoving food down. She heard bits and pieces of the conversation happening to her right, more like dirty talk.
"When we go home, I'll fuck you with your ass up."
"Yes, please!"
Suddenly her food tasted bad, and her appetite was gone. Do they think this is a stripper club? And they allow dirty talk at the table? Fuckers.
It was confirmed Jasper's new girlfriend or lover had made him into a disgusting moron. Why does she always have to sit along with morons? No, Anastasia, you ain't one.
A few minutes later, she heard him say something to her. "Scarlett, after you've done eating, meet me outside." She ignored him and kept eating. She'd rather eat food that tasted bad right now than listen to him.
Suddenly, Skylar stood up and slammed her hands on the table, gathering attention from everyone.
"Scarlett, how dare you! You stole my food and now you are stealing my man! How shameless can you be?!"
"What the fuck, I didn't even ag-"
"I knew you would do this!" She pointed her finger accusingly at her and glared.
"You are nothing but a bitch! You pretended to be a sheep while you're a wolf and turned everyone against me! Jasper always came to you ignoring me, and my intentions were pure! You just made me seem crazy in front of everyone!
"Now at last we are in a relationship without your nose butting in, and you're once again trying to turn him against me?
"You have a rich friend and you bought her here, to flaunt that you're close to her when all of us are broke as hell! How shameless could you be?!"
Jasper rolled his eyes and clenched his fist. "Babe don't make a scene here."
"Honey, I'm pregnant with your child and yet she still tries to steal you from me. Honey, please tell her something."
She started crying pathetically, and everyone wanted to throw her out. People said Ailey was fake, but she won't make a scene just like that.
Anastasia chuckled. "Alright shut the fuck up, bitch."
Skylar blinked. "I'm sorry wh-"
"Look, I don't call women a bitch easily but I can call you one. Scarlett didn't ask 'your man' to meet her outside, he did and she ignored him. So don't blame her for ignoring him, I also heard your dirty talks with each other and you both can be called morons.
"And she didn't bring me to flaunt that she got a rich friend, I came here willingly. She doesn't need a rich friend to pay her bills, she earns enough by doing complex neurosurgeries and all of them have been successful. None of the patients didn't die.
"You had bullied her for stealing your current boyfriend during high school and made everyone uncomfortable. I don't know how the heck did this man even start to like you, but that ain't any of my business.
"So please tell me if you find anything wrong with my speech, then you can speak."
Skylar opened her mouth, but nothing came out. Anastasia silenced her like a bitch.
Everyone wanted to laugh at the scene. Once more someone put her in her place.
Anastasia continued. "If you want to start a scene once again, I can call the cops and they can arrest you for bullying and harassment.
"I can even extend your jail time, even if my company makes things for kids, I have big connections and I can assure you, they'll give first-class treatment for you.
"So do you want to shut up and let me eat my food in peace, or go to jail right now? Hmm?"
Manchu started laughing. He always wanted to humiliate Skylar so badly. She and her gang bullied and called him a faggot. Scarlett had done it before, but Anastasia had done it once again. It just became glorious.
Everyone joined in as Skylar stood there humiliated. "Babe! Tell them to shut up!"
"You deserved it, I just wanted to talk to Scarlett because of the past, and you started a scene."
She gritted her teeth and sat down. Now she could never show her face at all. An important figure humiliated her.
She whisper-threatened Scarlett. "This isn't over yet, bitch!"
