Madison brought Marcus to her current 'home' and decided to give him the room where her little sister used to sleep. Tomorrow she would begin training Marcus to get him up to par with her own power.
"Since you have no stats as of yet I will get you up a few levels by damaging some wolves first then you kill them. Since your stats currently would easily get you killed by them, that should make it easier to start but after that you're on your own, I'm not babying you." said Madison with a very stern expression. 'The only person that I would dote on is my sister'
"Alright." said Marcus grateful for the help that Madison was giving him.
Madison then used her minimap to check likely spots where wolves would gather. Madison has noticed that more wolves tend to be in secluded areas like alleyways or backyards. So she found a nearby alleyway and upon arrival they immediately could hear more gnawing of flesh from wolves. She picked up a broken brick that was nearby and lobbed it across the alleyway and hit the wall at the other end. However when she went to throw the brick she made some noise which caused one of the wolves to raised its head and look at her. Then the head was gone without a trace...
"I tried to hold back, not my fault you let your guard down while eating." said Madison with a sigh, she didn't want to kill the wolf. She only wanted to get their attention but there were still two other wolves in the alleyway. "Let's try this again shall we?"
Madison took out her old sword and prepared herself in a fighting stance. She waited until both wolves were almost on top of her before taking a large swing and cutting off the legs of both wolves, which fell to the floor hard shortly afterwards. "There you go."
"...Right." said Marcus. He was amazed that Madison had enough strength to accidentally kill a wolf with a brick when most people around his strength would have great difficulty with defeating them, much less three. He approached one of the wolves before stopping. ".....I don't have a weapon..."
*smack*
Madison facepalmed after realizing this. She forgot to give him a weapon, as she had assimilated all of the weapons in the armory including his since he didn't have any ammo for it. She then tossed him her sword as she was going to create a lighter duty pistol to make sure she doesn't one shot the wolves since that's exactly what her Talon MK1 would do.
"Use that, i'll make my own weapon."
Marcus caught the sword and proceeded to stab the wolves. By dealing the killing blows, Marcus immediately rose to Level 2.
"How will you make a weapon? You don't look like a blacksmith." Marcus had a doubtful expression on his face as he had been to her 'home' and there wasn't anything resembling a smithy there.
"Like this." Madison lifted her hand up with her palm upwards as a cloud of nano-machines surrounded her hand. As they fluttered around they began to take shape into a simple sidearm. Similar to the Beretta M9 but modified to be able to damage the wolves better.
Marcus was stupefied by Madison's nano-machines. He didn't think it was possible to do something like that. "Woah." Was all that left his mouth.
"Are you ready?" Madison looked at Marcus with a slight smile and turned around before going to find the next wolf 'den' which surprised Marcus since when he first met her up until now he hadn't seen her smile. It was almost like she had two different personalities.
After several hours later. Madison had brought Marcus' level up to 5 and she had gotten to Level 10. She gained experience by damaging monsters but not as much as a killing blow.
"So it appears I can get a class now." Marcus said after arriving at their temporary home. Madison knew it was only a matter of time before monsters entered her home, especially at night.
"What are your options?" Madison said while laying down on her bed. Marcus took the rolling desk chair.
"It says that I can choose between Swordsman, Paladin, Beater, and Berserker. I guess that because most of my fighting was close range that that is why these are my options." Marcus was wondering what class to pick when Madison started laughing. "What?"
"Don't pick beater. That gives room to so many bad jokes, especially with your current shirt choice." (He was wearing THAT shirt)
"Oh." Was all that escaped Marcus' mouth. He immediately saw where this could go wrong.
"Do you think you better your sword skills, have higher toughness, or deal more damage at the cost of defense? Since it's early on we don't need to worry about specializing in specific fields yet but later they will be important, so pick what you want to focus on and stick to it."
After around 10 minutes of silence Marcus finally spoke up. I think i'll go with Paladin. If we get held up outside, we're going to need something defensive to help us until we find shelter."
"Good idea. We won't be able to use this house for much longer before they eventually find their way in here."
Marcus activated the Paladin class and was then surrounded by a blinding white light.
"MY EYE!" Was all that was heard from Madison. Her cybernetic eye was fine though her regular eye wasn't. She immediately buried her face in her pillow until the light calmed down. She occasionally peeked with her cybernetic eye since it seemed to be immune to the blinding light. Once it finally settled down she took a sigh of relief before looking at Marcus again. Though she was looking at Marcus she was still holding her pillow, only showing her eyes.
"Thanks for blinding me you light bulb..." Madison said with a pouted face. She expected something like that to happen for a class change but it was still unpleasant, and since Marcus didn't say he was activating it she wasn't ready for it.
"Sorry about that." Marcus said while holding back a slight chuckle. He checked his inventory and saw that the sword that he had was changed into a Great Sword and also looked freshly made, unlike its rusted predecessor. Along with the new sword, Marcus also received a tower shield that had the symbol of to swords overlapped on top of each other in the shape of a X. When he checked his stats they were heavily increased in the STR and INT departments and only slightly increased the AGL stat.
"Well this will be useful." Marcus muttered as he took out the sword and shield and placed them on the floor. "By the way Madison, what level are you?"
"I just got to level 10 after that fight, just like you got to level 5." said Madison wondering what her next change would be. Currently the only visible changes were her Machina ears, tail, and her cybernetic deep blue eye. She thought about it for a moment but decided to check her stats just before doing it.

She noticed that since she had both assimilated and made her weapons(both her Modified Beretta and her Talon) both her Assimilation skill and her Nano Construction skill must have leveled up in the process. She would like to see what they could do but first...evolution.
