"Amaya, Amaya wake up we have to celebrate your birthday." I slowly open my eyes to see my mother looking down at me. I then respond with "No five more minutes I am still sleepy." My mother then sighs and says " Fine five minutes." She then mutters to herself "Sheesh she only gets up when she wants something from me."
After a little while, I get up and get ready and go downstairs to the smell of food. I then sit at our table and start to talk to my mom.
"So Amaya what do you want to do for your birthday, sadly Haruka and Hiroto can't come today because Hiroto got really sick."
I then shrug and say " I don't really know, We can just hang out or you can start to teach me Jutsu."
Hana sighs and says " Amaya, we have been over this I am not teaching you Jutsu until your a little older, but that does remind me." She then walks into another room and grabs something.
When she comes back she is holding a katana that is around the size of a machete and sits back down. She then says " I remember that you wanted me to get you a sword for your birthday so I got you one, but you still got to handle it carefully even though it is dulled out and smaller for children."
She then hands it to me. My eyes are shining with excitement. When I look at it has a nice silver blade and a dark purple hilt. I then go to my mom and hug her and I say thank you.
After eating breakfast and looking at my new sword a lot someone suddenly busts knocks on our door a lot and my mom goes and answers it and there is a man wearing a leaf headband and a green vest panting.
The man suddenly quickly tells my mom " Hana-san it is an emergency, Hideki's team got wiped out by a group of A and B rank rouge ninja and the Hokage needs you to be their backup because your one of the few Jonin not on a mission currently." My mom then nods and rushes off and gets her ninja gear on. She then comes up to me and kisses me on my forehead and says " Sorry dear, looks like we will have to have your birthday party on a different day, I will hopefully be back in a couple of days." She then runs off with the other ninja.
5 days later
Hokage Office
" Lord third, Hana and her squad didn't make it in time to save Hideki's team and they ended up getting killed also and the rogue ninja escaped." A masked Anbu tells the thrid Hokage
"Shit, Was there any survivors at all?" the Hokage asked.
" There was one his name is Jiro Suzuki he is the one who gave us the info before going to the hospital with critical condition."
The third Hokage rubs his head thinking about what he is going to do. He knows Hana has a daughter who already lost her dad and he knows he has to go tell her the news. He then stands up and leaves the office.
Amaya POV
Uhhh it's been five days when is mom going to be home I am getting really worried and the instant ramen is running low on supplies and I am getting worried about if mom is ok. All I have done for the past days is practice with my new sword although it is a little hard without an instructor.
Suddenly I hear knocking on the door and I rush over and once I open it and the Third Hokage is standing there with a sad look on his face, The same face he had when he told my mom that father died. I then drop my sword and already start to tear up knowing what he came here to say. I then start to hope that mom just got injured and he came here to tell me because my mom couldn't tell me herself. I then welcome him into the house and we sit on the couch.
The Third Hokage is the first to talk " Amaya, what I am about to tell you is really hard to say, but your mom died fighting bravely for the village and she fought till her last breath."
I start to tear up. I knew it of course this would happen, the Hokage wouldn't have come here to tell me my mom was injured and in the hospital, my hope was stupid, of course she died. I then break into full-on crying and the Hokage rubs my back still with a sad look on his face.
He then talks to me more and eventually leaves and I am left alone crying. And after a while I go grab my sword and lay in my bed hugging it crying by myself, clutching the last thing my mom gave me.
