The girl looked majestic as she slightly hovered above the ground. Without any fluctuation, she floated there. Kuro looks up and makes eye contact with the girl. The room was dark but her halo provided enough light to see her face.
"Interesting, little boy." the girl started, "maybe I should bestow upon you a gift,"
Kuro was puzzled as his surrounding started to shift. The girl soon faded along with the room. Now, everything turned dark. He decided to wait for a little before doing anything to adapt his eyes to the darkness. It took him about 24 minutes for him to be able to see his surrounding.
What was in front of him was a breathtaking sight. Thousands upon thousands of present boxes stacked together. It's stacked too high that one is unable to see the summit. The more amazing thing is that the bottom-most present is not crushed by the weight of thousands of present. Out of the blue, a creature popped behind Kuro's back. Its sudden appearance startled Kuro, making him trip and fall onto a present. The present was about the length of his leg.
"You idiot why did you crush that reaper," said the creature with anger, "Nevermind, you need to pick a reaper anyway. Pick whichever you want. A reaper is a thing inside one of those things you call a present box."
Kuro hesitated.
"Don't make me repeat myself, human child," stated the creature with a voice full of annoyance, evidently bored.
Scared, Kuro quickly picked up the thing that he had tripped over. It's the only reasonable choice, he reckons, as he may have damaged the goods inside.
As he picked up the present, it started glowing. The ribbons unraveled itself and the gift paper dissipates from Kuro's hand. The present started to morph into a long and slim black sword. Upon the sword finishing its transformation, an immerse pain surged through his left hand. Even though the pain wasn't the worse he had ever felt, it's still painful. That is when weird runes started appearing on his right hand. One of the runes looks like a goat with a halo. Other runes appeared too but they don't look like anything other than incoherent random scribbles. The pain faded in the blink of an eye.
"Who are you? What is this sword? What happened to the room around me? Where is that girl?" questioned Kuro while he pointed the sword in his arm to the creature.
The creature stood up and decided to speak. "First of all, I am called the job giver because I am the one chosen to give people the title of a soul reaper or a necromancer. That sword is a contract weapon, also called a reaper. It's useful for reaping souls or slicing the heads of an undead. Don't worry about the room though. This is only inside your mind. Lastly, this girl you are talking about is the one who brought you to this place. She is an undead and she is a criminal in hell. It is better for you to stay away from her. If that's all, you should go now or your soul might be trapped here forever. The exit is that way. "
Kuro saw the door and ran towards it because he doesn't want to be trapped in that place. The moment he went through the door, the room around him became familiar. It was the dungeon he was caught in.
Suddenly a recognizable figurine showed up in front of him. "The demon king wants to see you," said the oni in front of him.
