The night passed quickly, the night became day and the Moon gave way to give way to the Sun. The mists of dawn, gave way. Coraline overheard a conversation going on behind the door in the hallway.
"I promise I'll be back as soon as possible, I'll only go for a few days" Tear said as he walked with a suitcase to his room.
"Son, I'm afraid you won't come back and I won't be able to see you again" Madame Sofía said, shedding tears for her son.
"Don't worry, I'll be back as quickly as possible before you blink, I'll be here again, I'll bring food for Thanksgiving dinner" Tear commented packing his clothes.
Coraline got up from her bed, walked over and opened the door. Tear turned his face and saw Coraline.
"I have to go, I thought I was not going to be able to fire you, but I see that you are awake" Tear commented closing his suitcase that was on his bed and putting on his brown coat.
"Tear, where are you going?" Coraline asked approaching the room in front of her room.
"I received a message from the Resistance and I have to go to Jamestown, before the end of dawn, I must bring some papers to print in the newspapers" Tear said lifting the two suitcases.
"Bye, I hope you get to save ... When are you coming back?" Coraline asked leaning against the wall.
"Before Thanksgiving, I'll bring food once I have bought it, take care of my mother I don't want anything to happen to her" Tear said approaching Coraline to say goodbye with a hug.
"Okay, then I'll wait for you" Coraline said saying goodbye.
"Thanks, I'll go then" Tear said picking up his suitcases from the floor heading for the stairs to leave the house and ride his horse towards Jamestown.
Coraline went down to the main room where Madame Sofia was sitting with a book in her hand. Before long it would dawn.
"Did you rest well Coraline?" Madame Sofía asked turning the page of her book.
"Yes, I think I will regain my strength" Coraline replied sitting on one of the sofa.
"Prepare breakfast because I saw that you were awake, I left it in the dining room, let's go and I have finished reading this chapter" said Madame Sofía closing the book and getting up, took a sigh and walked to the dining room.
"Thanks for everything, I can ask you something" Coraline said smiling trying not to show her curiosity so much.
"Sure, tell me what you want to know" She replied as she took a seat.
"What do you do during the day? When Tear is not at home" She asked sitting in another seat.
"I own the tavern here, I set it up for no more than five years, I put it in charge of the bartender, when the merchants come I hire the best singers from the north coast and London" Madame Sofía answered as she began to eat.
"I should have made the idea, today I will train in the back field, I cannot rest I must return to my path in a few days to fulfill my destiny", said Coraline speaking metaphorically.
"Sure," Madame Sofia replied.
Breakfast was quiet, there was not much talk but at least there were no gun fights.
"Thanks for the food, I'll go shooting on the field" Coraline said getting up from the table.
"Alright, Coraline, be careful" Madame Sofía replied lifting the plates from the table.
Coraline walked slowly, as she watched the sunrise. The sun was not so bright at that time, and the heat was not yet pronounced. He came to an old leafless tree, dried up by drought. He drew his gun and began to fire without hitting, his hands shaking.
While she was shooting without precision control, Robert who was sleeping on the portico was awakened by the mayor.
"Hey wake up, lazy," said the mayor at dawn. "It's morning, go and bring Coraline I need to chat with her."
Robert yawned, he was still tired but duty was calling him. He took his horse and rode home, had a quick breakfast and took a cold bath. He dressed in his coat, grabbed his hat and pinned the Hoffman County Commissioner medal - the second-largest office after the mayor in the entire town. He took his horse, and headed for the Refugio house. As he walked to the shelter, the air tried to snatch his hat from him. Arriving at the destination, he fell in one fell swoop, knocked on the door when Madame Sofia came out to his surprise.
"Hello, have you seen Coraline?" He said thoughtfully.
"No, he's already gone, he took his weapon and went to the back field," she replied. "I send for Coraline?" I replied after taking a breath.
"No, there is no need, I will go and get her" Robert replied as he said goodbye and got on his horse. His horse jumped the fence surrounding the shelter. In the distance, a young woman could be seen shooting, before approaching she got off her horse and approached walking slowly.
She was practicing shots at a tree, but her hand was shaking, he came up from her back and took her hand to hold the gun. Coraline felt the memories invade her again, tears spilling from her eyes. Then she shot the wooden target, while he was on her side she felt that the past had never changed, she still loved him, but her heart had closed.
"Do you remember when I taught you to shoot?" Robert said as he looked at the horizon.
Coraline froze as the memories began to creep into her heart again.
"Use your weapon before your enemy, but always keep in mind that you are in control of the situation" Robert said as he handed the revolver to Coraline. Robert set 5 glass bottle as lures as lures. She shot the first target, then the second, and so on to the fourth, but she used more bullets than she needed.
Robert got on her back and put his hand on Coraline's hand to hold her gun.
"Your posture swayed, you should not be afraid of recoil or else, without even realizing it, your body will move backwards or your arm will lower down, then you will lose stability and control over the shot" Robert replied as he walked away from Coraline and I replied "Aim ... fire ...".
Coraline shot the glass bottle, smashing it into a thousand pieces.
"You know, Precusa would be very proud of your progress" said Robert showing a happiness on his face.
"Great, now I have to keep practicing", said Coraline happy that she finally knew how to handle her own weapon.
Soon it began to rain in the forest, fading all that memory from his mind.
"I see you've already remembered again" Robert answered taking a breath and said "Did you remember the kiss?"
"What kiss?" Coraline said pushing Robert.
"That day during the rain, we kissed" He answered seriously.
"Why did you come looking for me?" Coraline asked as she shot the decoy.
