Chapter 15 - Chapter Fifteen

Gemma's P.O.V.

It's been two days since the move and I have been doing really well surprisingly. I haven't spoken to Nikita, Katherine or Robyn since Jessica and I moved out. I started working at Starbucks and I have never been happier, Brittney and I have been bonding a lot lately. Jessica will not stop hounding me about Thomas and I have been avoiding him more every day to prevent myself from catching feelings, but I know that I cannot avoid him forever. I noticed that Jess and Adam have been getting closer which is good in my books, but Jessica is panicking because she needs to focus on school and not boys. Sometimes she overlooks things, I mean I do the same, but she overreacts as well. I told her to just be friends with Adam until she feels that she is ready for a relationship and Lord knows that Adam will wait for her until she finally makes a decision. If that's not love then I don't know what is.

"Earth to Gemma!" shouted Brittney waving her hand in front of my face. " Sorry what? I was just thinking." I replied with a smile. "I see that, you have a customer." she replied laughing. " Sorry about that. Welcome to Starbucks, my name is Gemma. How can I help you?" I said without looking up. "You know it's rude to not look your customers in the eye when you greet them." replied the person standing on the other side of the counter. I froze, my eyes wide and my heart beating frantically. Thomas. "Well...I apologize. I was busy fixing my apron unless you would like it if it fell in your order." I replied with my usual sarcasm, trying to calm my frantic heart beats. Thomas laughed. "Touché, I would like a cappuccino and black coffee to go, please?" "That would be £10.75 please." He gave me the money and I went to prepare his order as Brittney took over the cash register. Once it was done, I called out for him and gave it. "I guess I'll be seeing you tonight." he said with a toothy grin. "Wait! What's happening tonight?" I asked slightly panicking. "Oh, you didn't know. Jessica invited Evan, Quinn, Bricia, Adam, Caitlyn and I over to your place for drinks. " he replied with a worried expression. Of course, she did. "Right, sorry. Been a bit stressed out lately, it must have slipped my mind." I replied with a quick excuse to not cause any more problems. "Yeah, it has been a stressful couple of days." he replied smiling slightly. I just nodded with a ghost smile on my face. "I'll see you tonight then?" "Yeah, see you tonight." I replied with a small smile. He waved and then exited the café. I checked the time on my phone 4:50 p.m. Just 10 more minutes before my shift ends.

I got home a few minutes after my shift ended. I walked into the flat to see Jess busy in the kitchen and Cait sitting by the counter talking. They became silent when they saw me. I just looked at them and went to my room to get ready for tonight. I showered and got dressed in a black knee length dress with my black combat boots and my burgundy 'Stilinski 24' Teen Wolf hoodie. I tie my hair into a high ponytail as I make my way back into the kitchen. Jessica is wearing a pair of blue skinny jeans with a floral top along with her high top black and white converse sneakers and her cream cardigan. Caitlyn is wearing a pair of black boyfriend jeans with a black and white polka dot shirt along with her black ankle boots and a denim jacket. They stopped what they were talking about when I walked in. "Don't stop on my account. It seems that I have been left out of numerous conversations, considering that I didn't even know about tonight and I had to find out from Thomas at work of all places. You know it wouldn't kill you to send a text." I said sarcastically with my arms crossed over my chest. Jessica stood there with an unreadable expression and Caitlyn looked shocked. "It's fine, honestly. A little warning would've been nice, but other than that I am cool." I continued with a slight shrug. At least no one can ditch me at my own flat. The silence was broken by a knock on the door. Let's get this thing over with. I thought as I went over to open the door. This is not going to end well; I can feel it.
