They panicked! Matt quickly grabbed the empty plastic bag on the table and started putting the trash inside, while Sydney started putting the used saucepan and utensil in the kitchen sink.
The doorbell once again rang. It seemed like his mother was getting impatient.
Matt quickly placed the scattered empty bottles of beer under the kitchen counter cabinets, and Sydney returned the pillows to the sofa.
"Sydney, go hide!" Matt told her.
"But where?"
"In my room. There's a large wardrobe cabinet."
"Got it," she said, then ran to Matt's room. She hid in the cabinet as planned.
Matt sighed. "Okay, here goes," he uttered, then opened the door.
"What took you so long, Matteo?" His mother said in a high tone.
"Sorry, I was sleeping, so-"
"Why does it smell like… Uhhh… I don't know what it is, but it's a really unpleasant smell. I should buy you some air fresheners later."
She and the bodyguards entered, putting their shoes on the shoe rack.
