Matt ran as fast as he could, to find Sydney and catch up with her. He was very worried that she might drown herself to liquor again, alone, and get herself into trouble. He then looked for her in the place where he found her drunk, and just as he thought, she's there, in that open street restaurant near his condo.
Sydney was talking to the waitress, who's taking her order. Because she was facing her, she did not notice Matt's arrival.
Matt did not show himself to her. Instead, he sat on the seat behind her. He figured she might want to be alone for a while and drink her sorrow away.
"Three bottles of beer, and a plate of spicy chicken fillet," she told the waitress, and when she walked away, Sydney placed her elbow on top of the table, and rested her hand in front of her eyes.
Matt could hear the sound of her subtle cries. They met after more than two years, and it hurt him to think she's still not happy.
