Olivet told her bestie in a worried tone, "Sydney, don't tell me you're… Do you plan to barge in, and-"
"Let's go," Sydney said as she turned her back from the lecture hall. "Lenoir… has taken her bait."
"Uhh… Don't worry, Sydney! Forget about it, we're going to celebrate your birthday without him!" PJ said, trying to cheer up his heartbroken friend.
"Yes, Sydney, where do you want to go?" Olivet said, "If you want, we can even go to the mall, or-"
But Sydney turned to them and faked a smile. "Thank you so much for being with me these past few days. I'll be fine, okay? Please… give me some time alone. I will spend my eighteenth birthday on my own." She waved to them, then ran away.
"Should I punch Lenoir in the face?" PJ said, clenching his fist and showing his biceps to Olivet, but she walked away.
"Don't do it. If Sydney wants to handle it on her own, then let's respect her decision."
