Chapter 72 - Just You She Needed

"Where's Alisya?"  Adith jogged over to Rinto and Yogi, who was getting ready to go home in the motorbike parking lot.

"She came home alone earlier!"  said Karin who was walking behind Adith.

"Why does she always come home alone?"  complained Adith.

"You're not going back?"  asked Rinto, seeing that Adith, who was still standing there, didn't budge.

"Huhhh ... I brought a motorbike in vain!"  Adith took a deep breath.

"Eh? So you brought a motorbike? Since when?"  asked Rinto in surprise.

"Since he knows that Alisya prefers to ride a motorbike than a car," said Karin and Yogi almost simultaneously.

Rinto smiled as if he understood what his two friends meant.

"Where are you going?"  Aurelia asked in a soft voice stopping Adith.

"None of your business!"  replied Adith coldly.

"Are you still angry? In what way should you forgive me? I've tried my best to keep apologizing to you all the time and you always avoid me!"  Aurelia said in a huff as she continued to stop Adith's movements.

"Don't you feel that you are too much? Didn't I tell you that it has nothing to do with it?"  Adith begins to lose his temper in dealing with Aurelia.

"Then why do you keep avoiding me? Why can't you act like before to me?"  Aurelia asked in a high voice.

"Because things can't be like before. Remind me of what I said first? If everything won't be the same again if someday you will come back. But you don't listen to me, then just leave!"  Adith explained annoyed.

"But don't you love me?"  Aurelia lowered her voice softly.

"Sorry Aurelia, I don't have that feeling now! Stop bothering me!"  Adith started the motorbike again.

"Is all this because of Alisya?"  Aurelia shouted because of the big sound of Adith's motorbike.

"Right, it's all because of Alisya!"  he said smiling and with one strong pull, Adith left Aurelia alone.

Aurelia shed tears.  She had never seen Adith show such an expression before.  Adith's eyes when mentioning Alisya's name are very different as if his eyes depict a vast blue lake where only Alisya can swim in it and there is no place for her because it only exists for Alisya.

It didn't take long, Adith was in front of Alisya's house.

"Noon, Grandma ... Alisya is back?"  asked Adith as soon as his grandmother opened the door.

"She should have, but grandma also wondered why she hadn't arrived home before? Didn't you guys go home together?" Said her grandmother while confirming the clock in her hand.

"I see, Grandma ... then I try to check on the road once again, maybe she's still on the road, and we just cross paths."  Adith immediately said goodbye, then went down the street and the place that was usually visited by Alisya when walking home.

However, he had been circling the area for a long time, he could not find Alisya's figure.

'Ahhh… where are you, Alisya?  why did you turn off the device that was in your ear again? '  muttered Adith who was frustrated that he couldn't find Alisya because it had been about 2 hours of looking for her.

Desperate, Adith contacts Karin and the others but they don't know Alisya's whereabouts.

An hour later, Karin called Adith, who was still on the motorbike.

'You're still looking for Alisya? You better go home first, Karan is with Alisya now!'  Karin said that Adith would stop his search.

"Why can Alisya be with Karan? What are the two of them doing?"  Adith asked in a cold tone?

'Alisya asked Karan, to accompany her somewhere. Today is the day her mother died, so she went on a pilgrimage to her mother's grave and was accompanied by Karan!'  Adith immediately stopped the motorbike to hear Karin's words.

'Alisya did not invite me because I would always cry every time I went there and today I forgot. Fortunately, Karan remembered it and took my place to accompany Alisya there!'  Karin continued.

"Alright… Thanks for the info, Karin!"  Adith's voice was weak.

'Yes, you're welcome! Go home and rest,' said Karin reminded and then turned off the phone.

Adith hit the steering wheel hard regretting his stupidity for not knowing this.  With a very heavy heart, Adith returned to Alisya's house and found Karan saying goodbye to Alisya's grandmother.

"You are here? Go in and find Alisya, but don't wake her up. She's still asleep at the moment, but it looks like your presence will calm her down!"  Said Karan as soon as he passed Adith.

"Thank you for accompanying Alisya!"  Adith's voice was weak but sincere.

"You are all she needs now!"  whispered Karan.

"What are you mean?"  Adith asked in confusion not understanding what Karan meant.

"Come in ... You will understand as soon as you enter!"  Karan points into Alisya's room using his eyes.

"You know something? Does this have something to do with Alisya and me's past?"  Adith looked at Karan with a serious face.

Karan was only silent patting Adith's shoulder, then once again said goodbye to Alisya, and Adith's grandmother then left.

Adith walked into the room a little slowly so as not to wake Alisya.  Alisya fell asleep with her eyes puffy and sweat running all over her body.  Her breathing was heavy like she was in a nightmare because the expression on Alisya's face was a condition of deep sorrow.  Adith's heart ached and stiffened at the expression on Alisya's face.

Slowly Adith took a tissue to wipe Alisya's sweat and tried not to wake her up.  Adith's gentle movements made Alisya catch and hold Adith's hand.  Adith was surprised because he thought he had awakened Alisya, but Alisya's eyes were still closed.

Slowly, Alisya's breath is getting regular and Alisya's grip on Adith's hand is also getting tighter.  Not wanting to wake her up, Adith remained sitting beside her with her hands in her arms, right on her right cheek for quite a long time.  After feeling safe enough, Adith slowly let go of his grip and looked at the clock which showed 1 p.m.

It took 5 hours for her to release Alisya's hand.

"If I let you continue to hold my hand, then in 5 minutes it will be very dangerous because I will fall asleep beside you and hug you tightly," whispered Adith, looking at Alisya's face, which is now much calmer.

He then stood up to immediately say goodbye to Alisya's grandmother who was on guard outside because she continued to ensure Alisya's condition.  But for a moment he would come out of Alisya's room, right on the table Adith saw a photo with a face that was very familiar to him, that face was a face he was very familiar with in the past.

'Why is Mr. Ali's photo here?  What does Alisya have to do with Mr. Ali ?! '  Adith spoke in silence in a muffled voice.

Adith took the photo without thinking then came out of Alisya's room and still left her room half-open.

Adith came home with mixed thoughts.  How could he forget the most important thing he had been looking for.  Today he has done too many mistakes so that his head feels heavy and his chest feels tight.

When he got home, he fell asleep with a tired face filled with many burdens of thought.
