What happens when we die? Do we just get lost in the darkness? Do we stop thinking? Do we maybe go somewhere else?
Well, what truly happens is a mystery even for those who reached the afterlife they chose to believe in. But this is the story of a simple girl that is given a new opportunity after her death.
All she remembered was being pushed towards the train rails by who she thought was her best friend, then everything went red and she didn't felt a thing. Or maybe the pain was too much that her brain couldn't handle it so it shut down. Right now, she was in a dark space, floating.
She felt almost as if something was pulling her towards a direction, and when she tried to open her eyes to see what was happening, she saw a tree canopy. High in the sky almost as if they were as tall as a tower.
She sat up and noticed something was odd and out of place, she looked down at her hands and body and saw her skin was green and...Her body was in a shape she clearly didn't remember having.
And so, at the single moment, she was about to freak out, a message box appeared in front of her. It was similar to that of an RPG kind of game, and she seemed to have been calmed down somehow because her brain relaxed as she saw it.
♠"Hello there! I am the system created by God and you are now dead! You probably remember how you died and how surprising it was, but worry not, for you were given another chance by God himself!!"♠
♠"You are currently a Goblin. The lowest of the low-class monsters! You are expected to either die in a few hours or a little more depending on how you do, but we believe you are going to do just fine!"♠
♠"This is a world that God made only for you to use as a sandbox, so be grateful! He based it on your memories of RPG games since he thought it seemed like an interesting idea, but things may get crazy because let's say...He's fucking crazy man."♠
♠"For now, look for water and shelter! Good luck with your new life, and remember! Dying is for noobs. See ya later!"♠

And so it was that she had apparently been brought into another world by means of celestial intervention. Her brain wasn't quite working just yet, but even now she didn't wake up or something so she realized it may as well be true.
Liz stood up and noticed that she was, in fact, pretty small. She simply shook her head as she walked around her surroundings looking for a water source and shelter as she was told before.
She went further into the forest towards what she somehow knew was a Northern direction. After a couple of minutes of just walking in silence and grabbing the biggest stick she could find along with some rocks, she arrived at a river. It was small and wouldn't be able to really suit her needs for hygiene but it was something.
Once she found her water source, she looked around for a tough-looking rock and started smashing the stone she found before on the rock's surface to try and sharpen it. After a few minutes, she had a pretty decently sharp stone in hand and a stick. Now she just needed a way to put them together.
Looking around, she noticed some vines hanging from a tree and approached it to cut them off using her new tool. Then, she carved a hole at the end of the stick, making enough space to put the stone there and tie it up in place. Once she did so, she had made a pretty decent spear that would probably be her best friend for now.
With a weapon and a water source located, she just needed food and shelter. For now, she took another stone and sharpened it as she did before, keeping it like that to use as a sort of knife should she need one.
Then, she started roaming around once again looking for either berries, roots, or some kind of small animal. What she did found was a lone wolf looking straight at her from behind a tree. It was clearly double her size and probably had much more strength than she had.
Liz backed away, never giving her back towards the beast as she did so, trying to get out of his reach. Unlucky enough, the wolf lunged towards her in an attempt to pin her down. She instead fell on her butt and raised her handmade weapon, piercing through the wolf's throat and killing him in the act.

As fast as she could, she dragged the corpse towards the river. Then, she started to skin it using her rustic knife, taking out the guts and letting them out a good few hundred meters away from the river so that predators don't come close to her at night.
She would clean the fur and skin, using vines and her sharpened tools to make a loincloth that would allow her to move freely and a top that would cover her chest from the cold. The rest she used to manufacture some bedsheets, which she put down beside the river before looking for long and flexible sticks.
Then, she used those sticks, more vines, and some heavy rocks to craft herself a shelter small enough for her to completely fit inside and rest. For now, as the sun was starting to set, she made a fire using dry wood, some dead grass, and friction. It took her a good thirty minutes before achieving her objective, and just then could she cook part of the wolf meat and eat it.
It was a very productive day, and after eating she went right to sleep with the spear in her hands should she need it.
Liz was scared, alone and quite possibly disturbed by what she had to do to survive, but at least sleeping was a good way of letting her brian rest.
Until some noises woke her up, and her rest was interrupted by an intruder in her small camp.
