Chapter 107: Achievement Point Slots (REVAMPED)

As Jay and Akor traveled from the Atlans' hideout toward the other end of the Aquatic trial zone, they encountered several Tier-3 Low-Phase monsters. Thanks to the║Monster Camouflage Buff║Akor had, the creatures ignored him entirely, focusing their hostility on Jay instead. However, before Jay needed to lift a finger, Akor stepped in, handling the threats with ease.

Akor's use of his volatile aquatic element—hot and acidic in nature—made quick work of the monsters. Their defenses crumbled as his attacks burned through them, leaving no room for resistance. Once the battles concluded, Jay looted the creatures, and his Grade-3║Water Innate Talent║to ascend to Grade-5.

Meanwhile, the experience Akor gained from his kills brought him within a few points of Life Energy from meeting the level requirement to evolve into Tier-3. However, rather than evolving immediately, Akor chose to delay the process until the end of Day-7, opting to undergo the evolution during the subsequent rest period.

As they resumed their journey, Akor turned to Jay, curiosity evident in his tone. "Liege, what's a Super-Cluster Level Achievement?" he asked.

Jay glanced at him, intrigued by the question. Through their brief conversation, Jay discovered that Akor had received a notification about earning the Achievement. It had been awarded for advancing his Minor Mastery to Major Mastery so early in the Trial Program.

"Let me explain," Jay began. "Achievements are categorized into five levels: Galaxy-Level, Galactic-Cluster Level, Super-Cluster Level, Mega-Cluster Level, and then finally the Universe Level. Each level corresponds to a scale of significance, and the greater the Achievement, the more Achievement Points you earn. These points will be incredibly valuable when the Achievement Store function is unlocked in the future."

Akor listened intently, absorbing the information. Jay then asked him about the ranking of his Super-Cluster Level Achievement within its category. Akor responded promptly. "It's ranked 570, Liege", he said.

Jay raised an eyebrow, impressed. "So, you're the 570th life form in this Super-Cluster to achieve Major Mastery within just seven days of the Trial Program starting. That's remarkable. Most take months or even years to reach enlightenment and upgrade their mastery to a Major level."

Akor nodded, a hint of pride in his expression. Jay explained further, highlighting the significance of the 10 Super-Cluster Achievement Points he had earned. "Those points will be crucial. When the Achievement Store opens, you'll find plenty of opportunities to exchange them for valuable resources or advantages."

As the discussion continued, Akor revealed something new—a title he had received along with the Achievement.

Jay wasn't surprised to learn about the effects of Akor's Epic Grade Achievement Title. He already knew its significance—it was an Achievement Title granted to everyone who assimilated with the System and managed to cross the 1st Universe Limit. This title was one of the reasons behind the immense power gap between Tier-3 and Tier-4 individuals.

Nodding thoughtfully at Akor, Jay offered his advice. "If you haven't equipped it yet, replace one of your seven Achievement Title slots with this one. It will provide a significant boost to your overall power."

Akor acknowledged Jay's suggestion, recognizing the potential of the Epic Grade Achievement Title he had earned. However, rather than acting on his own, he paused to consult Jay, wanting to demonstrate his value.

This moment held great meaning for him. All his life, Akor had aspired to greatness, yearning for recognition as the 'Sea Lord.' Yet his dreams had always been hindered by his mediocre talent, leaving his ambitions shattered.

But now, for the first time, he had accomplished something extraordinary—an achievement so rare that only a handful in their entire Super-Cluster had managed it. A budding sense of pride and accomplishment filled him, a feeling unfamiliar yet deeply fulfilling.

Jay, fully aware of Akor's thoughts, chose not to interrupt the moment of triumph. Instead, he shifted his focus to his own STATUS, specifically to the 'Achievement Title' Section.

There was no limit to how many Achievement Titles one could collect, but only seven could be equipped at a time to gain their effects. This limitation mirrored the rule of maintaining bonds with no more than seven Spirit Equipment simultaneously.

Jay had amassed an impressive 188 Achievement Titles over his journey. A majority carried the 'Hunter' prefix, as they were earned through slaying monsters. Hunter Titles were named according to the species of the monsters slain, with their acquisition determined by the Tier of the slayer.

For instance, a Tier-2 individual needed to kill 100 Tier-2 monsters to earn an Uncommon Grade Hunter Title, such as the Greater Hunter Title. However, if that same Tier-2 individual managed to kill a single Tier-3 monster, they would receive a Rare Grade Hunter Title, such as the High Hunter Title, regardless of the monster's phase within Tier-3—be it Low-Phase, Mid-Phase, or High-Phase.

Jay, being a Tier-2, obtained a Rare Grade Hunter Title for every Tier-3 monster he killed, with the title reflecting the species of the slain monster. Despite its Uncommon Grade, he kept the║Greater Shark Hunter║Title equipped in one of his slots. Its effect of providing 20% Water Resistance made it the ideal choice while underwater.

Among the many Achievement Titles Jay had earned, the most remarkable were the Epic and Legend Grade Titles.

Jay had earned the║Skill Collector-I║Achievement Title thanks to the vast array of skills he had acquired, looted from the countless monsters he had slain. Alongside it, he also held║Myriad Innate Talent Possessor-I║and║Myriad Mastery-I║, awarded due to the exceptional number of Innate Talents and Masteries he had accumulated.

Among his Epic Grade Titles, the one that stood out the most was║Pain Bearer-I║. Jay had received this due to his║Physical Pain Resistance║skill reaching an astounding Lv.67 within a mere seven days.

This incredible feat was achieved through repeated exposure to the excruciating agony of the INVERSE mode. The very notion of reaching such a high level of Pain Resistance in such a short time would send shockwaves through the System-assimilated Universe, where Resistance Skills typically required tens or hundreds of years to develop.

The pain Jay endured during each activation of INVERSE mode was immense. The abrupt shift in his overall attributes caused a level of suffering akin to dying multiple times over. Recently, the intensity of the pain had lessened, as the difference between his STATUS and LOOTED STATUS had narrowed.

Once any Resistance-type skill reaches Lv.100, it can be synthesized by combining it with other similar Lv.100 skills to manifest FRAMES

While MJ had limited information about these mysterious FRAMES, it was evident that only a rare few could manifest them. Most of those who succeeded were Tier-7 or higher, as reaching such an advanced Tier often required living tens of thousands of years—time necessary to achieve such a monumental feat.

The║Pain Bearer-I║Title, however, was a game-changer. It dramatically increased Jay's chances of manifesting the 'PAIN FRAME'. While Jay wasn't entirely sure what the frame's abilities entailed, he could sense that it would be nothing short of extraordinary.

As much as Jay looked forward to achieving this PAIN FRAME, the thought of the agonizing journey ahead—raising both║Physical Pain Resistance║and║Mental Pain Resistance║to Lv.100—sent an involuntary shiver down his spine.

Shaking off the grim thoughts, his gaze shifted to the║Achievement Point Scorer-II║Title, and his mood lifted. This Legend Grade Title granted him a 40% discount in the Achievement Store, a boon that promised immense value over time.

The fact that he had unlocked it after accumulating 5000 Universe Points by completing numerous Universe Level achievements only deepened his hunger for more. The only drawback was having to wait until the Trial Program ended to make use of it.

Jay's other Legend Grade Achievement Title,║Tier Exceeder-II║, was even more impressive. Its special effect granted Jay enhanced recovery of Stamina, Spirit Energy, and Health whenever he faced opponents of higher Tiers.

While it might not seem extraordinary at first glance, this ability could significantly shift the odds in grueling battles, allowing him to outlast and overpower even the most formidable foes.

Jay had earned║Tier Exceeder-I║⧼Epic⧽ after slaying five High-Phase Tier-3 monsters in Earth's Trial Zone while still in Tier-2 High-Phase. When he went on to defeat all 25 of them, the title upgraded to║Tier Exceeder-II║⧼Legend⧽, enhancing its already formidable utility.

After reviewing the Achievement Titles in his STATUS, Jay closed it, turning his attention back to the present. Nearby, Akor was lost in his own thoughts, psyching himself up.

'Come on, Akor. You're not the same untalented person anymore. You've already reached Major Mastery at such an early stage. If you keep working hard, you can become someone who truly matters—greater than any Sea Lord.'

Jay noticed Akor's determination and smiled faintly at the young man's inner resolve. Feeling the weight of Jay's gaze, Akor finished his silent pep talk with a sheepish grin. After a moment, an idea struck him, and he hesitantly spoke.

"Liege, can I ask how many Super-Cluster Level Achievements you've accomplished so far?"

Jay remained silent, and Akor panicked, fearing he might have overstepped. Stammering, he quickly clarified, "Li...Liege, it's not that I'm trying to pry. I just...I just want to use your accomplishments as a goal to strive for."

A hint of a mysterious smile played on Jay's lips as he replied, "Trust me, it's best that you don't find out. It wouldn't do you any good."

Akor exhaled in relief, glad that Jay wasn't upset. But he couldn't shake his confusion over why Jay would say that.

What Akor didn't realize was the truth behind Jay's words. If Jay had revealed the staggering number of Universe Level Achievements he had completed, it would have crushed Akor's budding self-motivation.

Such an overwhelming comparison would make Akor's own goals seem impossibly distant, rendering all his efforts seem futile in his own eyes.
