DEMI'S POV
Screaming. Loud screaming is what I woke up to in the middle of the night.
"Alex!" I exclaimed as I ran into her room.
"No, no, no! Stop!" She cried out in her sleep. I swiftly got in the bed next to her.
"Alex." I pulled her in my embrace. "Wake up. You're having a nightmare." I eventually woke her up.
"Mama!" She screamed as she grabbed a hold of my t-shirt in her fists.
"It was only a nightmare, baby girl." I cooed as I gently played with her hair.
When your soul finds the soul it was waiting for
When someone walks into your heart through an open door
When your hand finds the hand it was meant to hold
Don't let go
Someone comes into your world
Suddenly your world has changed forever
No, there's no one else's eyes that can see into me
No one else's arms can lift, lift me up so high
Your love lifts me out of time
And you know my heart by heart
Whoa-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh
When you're one with the one you were meant to find
Everything falls in place, all the stars align
When you're touched by the cloud that has touched your soul
Don't let go
Someone comes into your life
It's like they've been in your life forever
No, there's no one else's eyes that can see into me
No one else's arms can lift, lift me up so high
Your love lifts me out of time
And you know my heart by heart
So, now we've found our way to find each other
So, now I found my way to you
No, there's no one else's eyes that can see into me
No, there's no one else's eyes that can see into me (No)
No one else's arms can lift, lift me up so high
Your love lifts me out of time
And you know my heart by heart
Whoa-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh
And you know my heart by heart
Whoa-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh (you know my heart)
And you know my heart by heart
And you know my heart by heart
I finished singing to her and she fell asleep. The nightmare must've not been as bad because it was easier to calm her down and get her back to sleep. I got comfortable next to her because I wasn't planning on letting her sleep alone.
"Goodnight, baby girl." I whispered to her as she was sleeping and I kissed her forehead. I relaxed into the bed and fell asleep next to her.
ALEX'S POV
"Alex! Wake up! It's sorting day!" Mom pulled the covers off of me. "I let you sleep in after last night, but we aren't skipping sorting day."
"It's too early!" I whined.
"Get up! Breakfast is ready. Yes, you are eating." She stated simply before walking out the door. You might be wondering what sorting day is. It happens once every six months. Mom and I go through all of our old pictures, clothes, items, etc. to decide what we keep and don't keep. Which reminds me, I have to hide my blade in one of my shoes today.
I got out of bed and put my hair in a messy bun. I grabbed my blade from my compartment, just in case Mom looks in it when sorting. I then hid it in my shoe.
"What did you make?" I asked as I bounced down the stairs.
"Toast and fruits." She smiled.
"Good.. nothing with too much calories.." I spoke quietly.
"What did you say?" Mom asked as she quickly turned around to look at me.
"Nothing!" I fake a smile and took a bite of toast. I managed to eat all of my food. I tried to go and purge but Mom stopped me.
"Let's sort through your clothes first!" Mom exclaimed excitedly. She LOVES sorting day, mostly because she loves looking at old things. We went upstairs in my room and pulled out all of my clothes.
—————————————————————
"Okay, how about this one?" Mom asked as she pulled out a tank top. We've gotten through half of my clothes and all of my responses have been about the same.
"Makes me look too fat."
"It won't hide my scars."
"Too big."
"Alex. You said no to every piece of clothing. What's going on in that pretty little head of yours."
"It's nothing.. just not in the best mindset. Can we do clothes later?" I asked quietly.
"Yes. How about we look at pictures, yeah?" She asked. I nodded and she pulled some pictures out from the top of her closet.
"Oh my god! Were you always a savage?!" I laughed as I looked at a picture of my Mom when she was a baby and doing the middle finger.
"Yes, I was!" She boasted. We laughed and I found a photo of me from a photoshoot several years ago.
"Mama! Look how little I was!" I exclaimed.
"You're still my little baby girl though." She cooed and hugged me.
"I want to post these!" I exclaimed excitedly.
"Are we almost done?" I whined as we eventually finished looking and sorting through all the pictures. We threw out all the pictures of Aaron, my birth father.
"We're almost done, baby girl." Mom said as she put the pictures back in their original place. "All we have to do is sort through our clothes."
"Fine." I pretended to be mad but it didn't work. Time to sort all of our clothes.
